how much do we need for the summer

We dont need too much really, hoillett on a free would be tasty, Moussa Sissoko around 10-15m, A striker for around 10m and a defender for cover 5m

 

I think we need one wide player, a striker and a CM. But we also need to get the most from our current squad. The likes of Downing, Gerrard, Reina, Enrique (2nd half of the season), Henderson, Suarez and Carroll have much to improve on performance wise, or end product wise in Suarez' case.

 

I would like to see FSG show some more intent tbh. They wanted to make a statement with Carroll when they first arrived, and did so but paid using Torres cash. I want a WORLD CLASS striker (£30m), one to make people scared of our attacking prowess.

Oh and a new stadium too please, and all of this not on credit obv - thanks.

 

I would too, at the moment they seem pretty naive if they think 23m net spend last year and another 30 this year would be enough to compete with those in top4 atm

 

IMO we will need 6 players.

I think guys need to get the heads out of the clouds and realsie we have several players who don't cut it and some that are aging rapidly.

I think:

1. striker is a must - no matter how good or bad carroll and suarez are no decent side wins anything with just two. (kuyt aint up to it) utd have 4, city have 5 or 6.

2. people keep saying winger. well it snot just "a wingeR2 its a juan mata we need. again kuyt is past it, so is bellamy really, and as for the junior hoillts.. come on guys!

3. The nitty gritty next. A Midfielder. Not a creative one but a box to box general. Gerrard is past it guys he can't run for 20mins even! we need another lucas or even better.

4. antoher striker... bellmay might last one more year but i don't know. we should have another forward somewhere on the list.

5. A CB. carragher must be replaced urgently.

6. A left full. enrique burned out. we need actual cover.

so all in all i cannot see how when one good player costs 20mil that we can get 6 out of anything less than 60mil plus sales.... it just can't happen. 30mil is a joke and is the budget for villa... do we want to be villa?
