So now that Spurs are competing for the Europa League, it looks like they'll lose Bale, Adebayor, Modric and possibly VDV. They shouldn't get Remy or Vertonghen either hopefully. Where are the Spurs team going to end up???

It really frustrates me that Spurs seem to get so much media attention about players leaving.

Liverpool didn't finish in the top 4 this year, not even anywhere near. Why is there barely any news about Suarez, Agger, Skrtel, Gerrard etc leaving?? Before Chelsea won the CL but after it was clear they were unlikely to get a top 4 place, there was absolutely no sign of the papers reporting their key players leaving. It's odd.

Erm i'm not sure of the purpose of this thread? Should we be laughing at Spurs while we have problems at home, a big one with the name of RVP?

    Mata - New signing

    Ramires - See above

There's been about 1,000 newspapers articles saying Torres is leaving <doh>. Drogba as well, same for Lampard and also Ashley Cole. Luiz with Barca. Ivanovic to Real Madrid. Sturridge to Man City. Seriously what planet are you on? <laugh>

Most of the Liverpool team is either not good enough to demand CL football, or are incredibly loyal. An exception to this rule is Suarez and I have joked many times about him leaving this summer. I think he'll go to Madrid personally.

With Chelsea, their players are either leaving because they're old, or they're staying because they're very loyal, just joined, or they're not good enough to demand CL. The exception may be Torres. They have CL now anyway, so who cares about them?

With Spurs you've got a lot of players who are going into their 3rd or 4th season with the club, so they're not new. Individually, you have a lot of good players who really should be in a CL team. So I think you're in real danger of losing Bale and Modric in particular. Possibly others will follow them out the door. United are probably looking for a right back, so might come for Walker. VDV, probably won't want to be in a club on the slide. I can see an Italian club coming for him. Chelsea are looking for wingers so might take Lennon. I really don't see these players as desperate to STAY at Spurs... and they will probably all be in demand by CL teams.

We have both suffered losing our best players so neither are in a position to laugh at each other on this subject IMO and it will only get worse with the wages being thrown around by the rich clubs.

Is there anyone in the Spurs squad who we'd consider having at Arsenal?

Bale and Modric are the obvious choices, but I think Modric will end up at Chelsea - they'll use the revenue from CL football to buy him, which kind of rubs the Spuds noses in it.

Bale is a decent left sided winger, a bit of a one trick pony, but he'd make a good addition to the squad. I wouldn't pay more than £20m for him though.

My choice would be Kyle Walker, decent right back. Would offer good competition to Sagna and looks like a better prospect than Jenkinson.

Setting partisan feeling behind, Spurs have a fine squad. I would gladly take Bale, Modric, Walker, Adebayor (if he didn't pull that silly stunt), VDV and Sandro. All of these players are on par with our players, with Bale being better than anything we have on the left at the moment.

Would love Walker - top quality prospect. 'Bayor isn't theirs to offer but he'd be an amazing player if he weren't such a twat. Don't want VDV due to his injury record, don't know where we'd fit in Moderate though he's a good player. Bale is quality too...

On another subject raised above, Vertonghen said about a week ago that he'd be willing to join Spurs, whether in the CL or not which is a b*gger. He's apparently had a tour of the facilities too. Obviously it doesn't mean he will sign but it's looking bleak for us.

Lol i love the delusion of some of us Arsenal fans. Do you really think our squad is that good? Just to remind you, we scraped 3rd place and didn't win anything this season, not because we were unlucky, but because we weren't very good.

In fact we should all thank the Spurs fans for their team collapsing at epic proportions thus gifting us 3rd place :p

The only problem is that whilst some of their players are very good, would they a: fit into our formation/tactics and b: be an improvement on what we have. The players we listed Lazarus would certainly add squad depth but only 1 or 2 would improve a starting 11. For either team. Fact is I think both clubs are very close in ability with the occasional stand outs.

Don't get me wrong, I've nowt aginst ravaging their squad and leaving them a shadow of what they were...

while we scraped 3rd with our terrible squad, spurs rampaged into 4th with their amazing squad? is that right? you're being a bit deluded.

modric is good on his day, but he doesn't have many of those, especially against top sides. can't see him playing against barca the way that wilshere did.
bale is good, but don't know if he'd fit into our squad, considering he's best at getting down the wing and crossing it. and we don't need crossers.
walker, definitely, but i doubt wenger will go for him because it would "harm jenkinson's growth", who i think is also a prospect.
sandro... you have got to be kidding if you think he's good enough.
same for van der vaart, who can only play well if he's up with crouchy. and we don't have crouchy.

would never take adebayor back, never.
