To be fair, he's only been at Ajax for 18 months and it his home club so it's difficult to lure him away.

Not too fussed about him or Klopp. I would have been more upset if someone like Rafa or AVB turned us down.

I don't expect us to name a manager until we bring in the DoF first and get the structure in place.

How can a manager be expected to join a club if they don't know who they're working with/under?

    De Boer*

And what were Liverpool thinking, Ajax just underwent a major overhaul on it's organizational structure in which Johan Cruijff took charge of the club.
Frank de Boer took alot of heat and the Ajax squad had some ugly results in the period October till February. In court the case was settled and Johan Cruijff won.
De Boer went on after that with a 14 game win streak to grab the national title. In fact, Ajax has announced they want to hand Frank de Boer a contract for life ->http://www.nu.nl/sport/2810005/ajax-wil-boer-contract-leven-aanbieden.html

Did Liverpool really think they could flash some cash and it'd be enough?
Shouldve kept in touch with the Dutch League<doh>

I think that sort of diminishes your post somewhat. Who gives a **** about the Dutch League, De Boer will leave for a better league when he feels the time is right not because he is desperate to manage in the Dutch league

I think the owners are very silly if they were to ignore Rafa, especially considering that two good managers in De Boer and Klopp have turned us down. Surely that is a sign?

I reckon every club gets this when looking for managers. It just doesnt always come out publicly.

If we do not at least interview Rafa then my confidence in FSG will dwindle rapidly. He is probably the best manager not employed out there and to not listen to what he has to say would be criminal; particularly as we know how low the transfer budget is and he as worked with the majority of the players previously!

FSG clearly have some people working behind the scenes, but still not confirmed who? I do like the caliber of manager we are looking at though.

Every thing will all work out fine. Trust me. We have no need to panic, loose tempers or turn against any one.

Would have been a great choice imo if, for no other reason, than because he has worked with Luis Suarez before.

Depressing times? Get over it! Not everyone can just jump ship straight away. They have their commitments too.
