It would have been a pleasure H, I also write Quizzes, neither of which I charge for if it's for a good cause.

    Claims to fame: What me?

Well I did get on TV once at least. While I was at junior school the headmaster walked in one morning and asked as all to stand as King George VI has died that morning and we had a minutes silence. The school had to choose two pupils to go to London for the coronation of the Queen, so as to be fair they did it by pulling names out of a hat. I was one of the two, so spent a very long time standing in the Mall. A TV camera mounted on the roof rack of a car came along and we were told to wave our flags at the camera.

After the event was over I went home to see the highlights of the day, and for the first time ever saw a small lad smiling and waving his flag who looked very different to what I imagined.

Almost forgot. When I was a Junior Hornet I went to an away game at Walsall in 1996. During half time I took part in an American Penalty Shootout. You start at the half way line and you get 10 seconds to score. My initial shot hit the post, the ball came back to me and my second shot was saved by the keeper, right infront of our fans. :emoticon-0101-sadsm

Back to did you know with a couple about here..

Did you know that Jersey has 12 parishes, the crests of which are all on the clock in the departures hall of the airport. Ten of the parishes are named after saints, the exceptions being Trinity and Grouville.

All 3 of St Helier's twinnings took place in years ending in 2: Avranches in France 1982, Bad-Wurzach in Germany 2002 and Funchal in Madeira (Portugal) this year.

Ísland is the most west European country and the most east American country. Because the fault in the Atlantic travels across the country.

And I have stood over the divide

Did you know... when we got promotion to the old division two in 1979 I went to the last couple of games suffereing from hepatitis. While most people has shirts and scarves etc to show who they supported, I reckon I was the only one in the crowd with bright yellow eyes.
