Out of interest QPR, do you want Hughes in next year? Did you agree with Warnock sacking? Genuinely intrigued to hear what a normal QPR fan thinks about the whole Fernandes situation and what he has done so far.

Hey YellowLittle. I find the Hughes question an easy one. Anyone who can lead Blackburn to 6th, Fulham to 7th and was doing a good job at Citeh clearly is a good Premier League manager. He's clearly good in the transfer market too: Dembele, Samba and Kompany are three top quality examples of his best signings at his three respective previous clubs. I think given the right backing and support he will do well with any club in the PL.

Which brings me nicely on to the owner! I think TF and his consortium are looking at the future in exactly the right way. They recently announced the purchase of a large piece of land and they are building a state of the art training ground and a top-level academy. Any short-term thinkers don't plough money into academies which are hardly likely to reap good rewards for a long time to come. He's passionate when we score, jumping around like the rest of us, and very level-headed on twitter and in interviews. He promises very little and delivers above. I personally really like him and I suppose it's in his favour that he has the stark contrast of Ecclestone and Briatore to fall back on! Time will tell, but I think he is a very smart business man, very keen on sport and he is a very quick learner. The fact he is willing to listen to fans regarding the small details (ie getting rid of our ugly kits! Upon requests via twitter he let us play our last two away games in our third kit as we all hated our orange kit) leaves me with a certain confidence that he will look after the big picture.

Was it right to sack NW? My heart screamed no, my head said yes. He will always be a legend at QPR, (you only understand that if he manages your club, as with many characters in football!), but I'm afraid he was found wanting too often tactically and for that reason, he had to go. Would he have kept us up? We'll never know for certain, but I would put my money - in a strange cross-dimensional bet - on no.

Good post, I suppose you've won me over on the Hughes front, I was undecided on him but as you say Dembele, Kompany and Samba are decent signings. Do you think you need to get rid of some of the buys Warnock made as soon as the takeover was completed? I remember the flurry of buys Warnock made at the end of summer transfer window not sure whether they all worked.

I think any owner is better then them Italians personally, find TF interesting, not sure whether your aware but there were mentions he was looking at Norwich due to the whole Lotus link.

I agree about Warnock too, I think Prem is step too far for him. He is a Championship manager and I think his buys at end of summer last year were slightly paniced due to transfer window closing.
