And I don't think it's unrealistic to say that we could bring Xavi/Iniesta with him, I mean, they're old, and Guardiola's gone- wouldn't fit in with FSG policy but it couldn't harm to try?! Ooo, and maybe tempt Cavani/Lavezzi from Napoli too, because it's not as if they're wanted by everyone else in Europe...and you know that kid Neymar, people have quietened down over him; time for us to strike! Here's my team for next season: ..................Reina................... Alves...........Agger.........Ramos. ...........Gerrard..Xavi................ Cavani........Iniesta........Neymar ............Suarez...Messi............. . . . . . . Seriously, every time a transfer window comes around I'm seeing stuff like this all over the forums. Maybe not so ridiculous, but you get my point. We're a club that's rebuilding, apparently shuffling through managers, with a shallow squad. Our targets for the summer won't be to buy some big names, or even rising star names. Unless the new manager has some great tricks up his sleeve, I would imagine that squad targets for the summer will include keeping Suarez, getting Lucas back to match fitness and improving chemistry of Downing+Carroll etc. Yes, we'll see some new names, but before predictions get out of hand again, I'll just go ahead and bet that we'll be underwhelmed by the summer transfers. Hey, maybe I'm still depressed over Torres having a CL medal, but after someone bleating on about getting Lavezzi, Collocini, Cavani, Drogba, Torres, blah, blah I can't help but be cynical.
No twats with stoopid haircuts. Off to Utd with you, Neymar. At least Torres got on the pitch. My ma's a lifelong Chelsea fan and I had to visit today for my dad's birthday so she had the parade on and there was Meireles waving his scarf like one ugly groupie. Made me think of Ronnie Moran throwing medals down and saying, "Take one if you think you deserve one."
Sorry this is so unrealistic! A defence of Alves, Agger & Ramos? Come on that would never happen - they would get torn apart as they all love to run forward with the ball! Apart from that, I can see it happening....
He would have played if he wasn't suspended. By the same token, Ramires, Terry and Ivanovic shouldn't have celebrated either
They'd have gotten more respect from me had they kept their distance and stayed in their suits. Join in the celebrations on the pitch by all means but getting changed and going up the steps was wrong IMO. But then, I also think it is wrong that a player should be suspended for a game you dream about as a kid. It is a game every player wants to be involved in and, IMO, all yellow cards should be stricken from the board. Only suspensions for players that pick up a red card in the semi's or that have done something stupid should be upheld.
