Well, the end of the season is nigh *sniff, sniff*, and what a season it has been...5-1 Sunderland, 4-4 Arsenal, 6-0 Aston Villa etc. And to top it all off, we now look like retaining our Premier League status!

So the question is guys & gals, who is YOUR player of the season, and why?

For me it's Kevin Nolan. Yes, he may have had some sloppy games, but the man has scored very important goals this season. And you've got to ask yourselves, where would we be without those goals?

Coloccini apart from two bad games he has held the defence together on his own
and has had a cracking season.

  3. Nolan is our top scorer, but Barton has been or best player. Nolan has scored alot of goals, but we've scored more goals as a result of Joey Barton being in the team.

How many games have we won without Joey in the team? Oh yeah, zero!

Barton is the best player we have because he's the only one that can execute the long and through balls we need to create goals, and also he takes vital set pieces that have lead to goals. Hopefully having Ben Arfa in the team will take some of the pressure off Joey to create so much because if there's one player that could match Barton's deliveries and creative player, i believe it's Arfa.

We've probably scored about 25+ goals because of Bartons play.

    Barton 1st.

But close are Tiote, Enrique, Nolan and Colo.

There's a case can be made out for almost everybody, it's got to go down as a team success.

I couldn't single any individual out, the five mentioned and the **** (11 goals, 6 assists, I hate him but he made a valuable contribution).

    I'll go for Enrique.

Consistent throughout the season in defence and also very good at breaking forwards to assist in attack.

He's had some top strikers struggle to get past him and long may that continue.

Impossible choice for one player really. Barton, Tiote, Enrique, Nolan, Collocini would joint win it for me, in other words - team effort.

nolan beacuse of his goals without them we'd be sunk by now. he is a bit inconsistent at times but 12 goals from midfield is a top return for any player

Andy Carroll, though he's been off the boil for us recently I see no reason why Pardew's dropped him <ok>

    I'll get my coat

Tiote, for the simple reason that all the others had a decentish replacement:

    Barton - Routledge
    Nolan - Guthrie
    Collo - Saylor/Willo
    Jose - Ferguson
    Tiote -ALAN SMITH!!!

    Tiote, Barton, Nolan, Colo, Jose.

Doubted Simpson, but he's made the step up. Best has proven himself since the departure of you know who. Feel Harper deserves a mention.

Pretty much a team performance, most of the team have really up'd their game and impressed me.
