Fitz Hall ‏@aslfitzhall Sad day for me just been told my contract is not being renewed at QPR.Been at the club 5yrs would of liked to of heard it frm the manager Fitz Hall ‏@aslfitzhall Just want to wish everyone associated with QPR all the best for the future! Thank you for all your support, the club is in good hands. A truly sad day in the history of Queens Park Rangers football club.
And he is surprised? Delusional if he thought he was going to get a new contract. Best of luck to him though. I think he always tried his best but his best is certainly no where near good enough at this level.
I don't want to start a revisionist movement on his talents, but I will miss him sitting on the turf looking pleadingly at the bench begging to be taken off. Tried his best......
Good luck One Size. A few good performances but a few shockers too. On a different point, glad that business is being conducted even on a Sunday.
obviously Hughes didn't it was his duty to tell fitz in person, I disagree personally but think he won't be the last player to be let go like this.
The Manager should tell players that sort of news - in my opinion. I have some sympathy with him on that score but I'm sure he didn't think that his future lay with us - so it shouldn't have come as a surprise.
Glad hes gone as he was an disaster waiting to happen. The manager should have told him face to face though.
The manager should only have to tell first-team players they are leaving. Reserve team players on first XI wages should be told by the tea lady or Jude the Cat. Never in the history of the sport has such a large footballer appeared so small on the field of play. Bob Malcolm's ability with Ledley King's legs, Fitz, it's been a journey, and quite how you've survived this long is a real achievement, but it's time now to focus on designing the jewellery, because a decent centre-half you are not.
Good luck fitz. You drove me potty as a defender and I feared hearing your name in the stating eleven but those 2 goals a few seasons back first home game v Barnsley were pretty cool. Not as good as alberti but they all count
Heard on TalkSport this afternoon that there are 14 players out of contract, though presumably they're not all first-teamers. I'm guessing this ain't news to many, but still be interesting to see who Hughes gets rid of during close season.
