Can we get a banner that is more "Arsenal" and less "RVP" in here?

It would be the right thing regardless of the situation, but especially since he might not be here in 2 months.

How does everybody else feel about this ? If we want to change the banner, I'll ask Mick to sort it out (I'll take a while . . . <laugh>)

  3. I think this is a good idea. RVP looks like he may well be off, so better to change now rather than having it up for a couple of days after he has gone.

It'll take Mick more than a couple of days to change it <laugh>

I think it will be better to have a montage which reflects our glorious history...Wenger, Graham, Adams, Wrighty, Henry, Charlie George, Herbet Chapman...Arsenal is more than RVP

Yes I think it should be changed, even if RVP stays, something to do with our history, and our truly great players, like dennis bergkamp and tony adams, these people truly loved the club, and showed great loyalty to us, im not having a dig at RVP here, I just dont rate him that highly in the grand scheme of our history.

If anyone is good at photoshop, this could be easily done. I count myself out though, I suck at photoshop.

Nail on the head here. This is an Arsenal forum and not an RVP one, even though i like him as a player.

It was a great choice at the time, with Cesc being the obvious choice and RVP on the injury table. I was really happy with it when it was introduced, and it fits the top beautifully.

I don't think he's leaving personally, but I'm not the only one with an opinion. I'd love a banner with Chapman, Bastin, Brady, Adams, Rocastle, Henry, Bergkamp and of course Wenger. But it's a logistical problem with such a small space

Personally, I think it would be nice to have a new banner for next season (regardless of the RVP situation) As mentioned, I think photoshop is the way to go to make a montage. I like the idea too of something that reflects our history from Woolwich all the way through to Emirates.

I think this would have been nice if the Chavs hadn't won the CL.

I read this thread and can't help believing that the OP's suggestion is a reaction to a thread on the spud board. Even if that is not the case, I think that any change to our banner would be seen as such, ergo a very bad move.

RVP has earned his place at the head of our board and should stay there until he no longer deserves it. Not be wiped away because our shadow dwellers think he should be.

Ok, so now that the spuds have told us to change our banner and it seems many of you are willing to follow orders, should we tweet Nasri & Cashley next and ask them to pick a replacement picture?

Leave the banner as it is FFS!!!

    What thread?

I had this in mind for a long time to be honest. I actually suggested it in another thread a while back.

Even if RVP decides to stay the banner should be more 'inclusive' of other things Arsenal. We don't want to be a parody of ourselves with the "one man team" thing.

edit: RVP can still be present in the new banner... Just saying that 'individuals' shouldn't be the main theme.
