Your not serious, fans are calling for Harry's head for a season they worked hard at then it was taken away from them, it's neither the players or the managers fault what happened to their Champions league spot, the ball was in Chelsea's court,
ok, it's because he drifts in and out of position alot during games and works hard, if he stayed still and just scored goals from the lone striker role perhaps you would agree with me?
Right, I'm lost now.... Rooney has regularly played wide left for Man Utd, he's a modern striker in the same way as Messi and Ronaldo are.
Yeah, he drifts in and out of position, what I'm asking is if he stayed as a traditional centre forward, would you personally consider him to be one of the best?
Nail. On. Head. People have a go at AVB as if he's some loser but Chelsea, to succeed in the future, undoubtedly need change. He tried to change them and the reason it didnt work is because those he tried to change run the dressing room. The only mistake he made - which was probably under the instruction of the owner - was trying to change it too soon rather than a gradual evolution and they've proved they had one last day in the sun in them. For me AVB would be the perfect Liverpool boss. They have no old guard, need total change and nobody is clinging on to past glories from current players. They'd be stupid to overlook him.
The Germans are absolutely brilliant with singing and chants for club games! I went to see Hertha Berlin at the Olympiastadion when I was over there. The stadium is massive, ancient and it was a game against another newly promoted team, FC Augsberg... small fish in comparison. There were thousands of them chanting like mad, stamping and drumming all game long. It was terrifying at first but such an amazing atmosphere once you realised you weren't about to get killed. I'd post a video of it if I knew how to!
i said it before , but i reckon despite his failings , Ashley Cole is one of a very small number of genuine world class quality English players
Hart is close, Rooney still needs to prove himself after the last tournament when he was utter ****e, i noticed they were arguing about it on here. No reason why he can't be a sensation after his two match ban
I really wanted Bayern to win, but not enough to stay in & watch it. Went for a curry instead & kept up with it on Soccernet! Still I suppose congrats anyway, in the same way as Man City!
Peter Czech should have got to Mullers header better but redeamed himself on the Robben penalty. Well done Chelsea and hard luck Tottenham Hotspur. For Chelsea it was Written in the Stars this win. **************************************
He also saved Schweinsteigers penalty so did a bit more than redeem himself, plus they wouldn' t have been in the final but for him. The goal was as much down to Cole as Cech
Going back to Celtic's win over Inter back in the 1960's I've always rooted for British teams in the competition and was over the moon with my hero Brian Cough's success with Nottingham Forrest. And so it was with Chelsea, although Spurs fans were rooting for the German's for their own ends. For me Drogba has been the main man, he fought a heroic, lone battle up front on many occasions and has been one of the best buys for a PL club. I have no particular affiliation for Chelsea, damn it they eventually beat City back in the 1960's at Boothferry Park. But even though most of the players are of foreign origin I still regard Chelsea as British and their magnificent display against the seemingly invincible Barcelona said it all, outplayed maybe but many British teams, notably Liverpool killed the game to their own ends, which usually mean lackluster attack against a formidable defense.
