If the following question is considered inappropriate H or Dan can delete it. When I visit the UK in three weeks I am thinking of buying a second hand phone. The two on-line classified sites I've been looking at are Craigslist and Gumtree. Does anyone know if these are good places to look or can anyone recommend anywhere better? I want to buy the thing on my first or second day in the country.
I think Gumtree is OK.... TBH I would buy from a shop... phones are so cheap now.... So Chelsea have just won... I dont whether I would say luck or not..... but they have survived and won two matches on a small % of possession. Drogba's goal in the 88 th minute was their first corner Good for Drgoba though..
Can't pass comment on either as I've never heard of them - but you'll be able to pick up a cheap new one from any Tescos store depending on how fancy you want it. The cheapest ones are around £10 - obviously very basic!
Could Platini's anti-English bias be any more blatant? There's nothing wrong with very publicly rooting for the English team's opponents in most circumstances, but not when you're the head of European football and the heir apparent to the head of FIFA.
Carphone warehouse sell a pay as you go phone for less than £5..you can then get a sim with unlimited texts for £10 Don't bother with 2nd hand gumtree ads, it'll just complicate things...
Morning All Overcast this morning but the forecast is it should stay dry. Long enough to allow England to complete Test Match I hope. I agree 100% with NNW's comments re Platini, did you see his face when he gave out the losers medals, I thought he was on the edge of tears. Anyway congratulations Chelsea & Hearts at least they didn't let me down for my Treble like Blackpool.
I am pleased for Chelsea and their fans - they did it the hard way beating Barcelona and then Munich in Munich. Sad for Spurs - yet again they miss out - unless they too get a multi-billionaire backer they will just have to see the two Manchesters and Chelsea continue to buy every trophy Well that's two out of three matches so far this weekend that have gone to the team I was not supporting - does not bode well for York this afternoon
Off to the smoke any minute now to visit Mrs H's son, daughter-in-law and grandson. Some nice food promised but I'm driving so I'll have to watch the others cope with the wine... Odd watching the Champions League final last night. Can't remember watching a whole game where I cared less about who won. Bayern have only themselves to blame for not winning and seeing JT prancing about in triumph was more than a bit galling...
Morning all from West West London - early start after a late night as the mother in law was taken to hospital again and I had to pick up the FIL and take him home. Come on York - unlike Lenny, 2 of the teams that I wanted to win have. Just need York to make it 3....

Today is some garden work, it is never much and always making tidy. I feel today I must support York City. Was funny yesterday. Football final at Wmbley rugby in Twickham crickey in north London and then all the Chelsea fans had a day out in München. Is London peparing for ÃlympÃuleikunum?
How I wish I could have gone to Twickenham yesterday - one of my all-time sporting heroes was playing for Leinster - the magnificent Brad Thorn. He's now achieved everything that it is possible to achieve in both Rugby codes - I reckon that, even at 37, he should switch his attention to football now and play for Watford. At 6' 5" and 18 stone of solid muscle, he'd scare the crap out of Championship defences.
morning all, thanks for the caramel latte Ak Sooo so not happy last night. Mr H set the sky + to record the champions league...not really sure how it's possible to cock it up but all he got was Chelsea celebrating at the end..and the worst part was that where i was, it was obvious it had gone to penalties and everyone went to watch it except me coz i wanted to see it when i got home. very very not happy . Add to that a bad case of weeping eyes that i've had since Friday, and a sore throat...and i'm a very unhappy bunny. Just as well it wasn't a Watford game, he'd be served with divorce papers by now! I've been to the chemist and got drops for my eyes, fingers crossed they work quickly, it's driving me batty!
Conference teams are allowed to loan players at any time, aren't they? If so, perhaps Aidy Mariappa, Sean Murray, Nyron Nosworthy, Jonathan Hogg and Troy Deeney will mysteriously become available? Oh, and Britt, who was awesome in the lower leagues.
Stevenage will come up soon. They'll never be "the rivals" in the way that they are, but it would be a bona fide derby.
