The EPL gave up the right to the name when they changed to the Premiership (don't you get english papers in swinesea???). The SPL then became the ONLY Premier League. When they changed back to PL, there already was a PL in place, so the rest of the world uses the term EPL to make it clear. But england don't, understandably as it's their own home league. Oh, and you mob seem to too, even though it's not your home league.
