Supposed Sunderland target Ryan Bertrand makes his Champions league debut in the final tonight? Does this mean he is no longer being looked at as a target and that he has a future at Chelsea? Or will it mean a year loan deal for the young lad.

I cant see a club who trusts this lad enough to play him in a Champions League Final then selling him a few weeks later? I'm not even sure if he was really a target anyway.

I'm interested to see the kid play though.

Interesting... Looking at those teams I can't see passed Bayern, sadly.

    .

Could be either a tactical masterstroke or a massive blunder from Roberto di Mateo. If it pays off he becomes the next highly paid Chelsea manager. If it doesnt, he gets the KGB after him.

Robben is a danger man but he isnt the only one they have.

If playing 2 left backs works, it will go down as one of the greatest tactical masterstrokes ever.

Even if Di Mateo wins tonight I am fairly certain that Chelsea will have a new manager next season, Playing the 2 left back's is a containment job and might just work. Still think Chelsea will win , 2-0

Said the same about the Barcelona team , seen some great teams down the years on paper but it is what happens on grass that matters

Just hope there's no controversial decisions affecting goals/penalties etc
Would love a really good attacking spectacle from both teams with no play acting etc.

    Come on Chelsea.

Thinking Chelsea may be regretting getting rid of Robben about now.

Well it seemed to be a masterstroke by Di Matteo.

IMO I don't think he will leave now, unless a new manager comes in and doesn't like him. He seemed to do well last night.

Thought the lad looked very good. Can't see why chelsea would want to move him on or as a London lad, why he'd come up here.

He'll be going nowhere I would think if Di Matteo is around. He has involved him a lot more and handed him his first PL start too. Making your CL debut in the final in a winning side is tremendous for the young lad. Him and Gibbs are the young pretenders to Cole's Englands throne. They may have to wait though like Baines because Cole is as good as any in world football. Was at fault for the Bayern goal though!

Loan deal maybe if we go for a purchase then it'll be "he's a CL finalist" so we want Xmillions more than we said last month. Only watched bits of it last night but, didn't really do much for me maybe nerves or maybe just crap not sure first time I've seen him so judgement reserved.
