I think there is a serious point in this to be fair! I think in cases like these there should be play-off of some sort to decide who takes it; not that I really care about either of these two sides but to play all season with the belief that you will get champs league if you finish in the top four and then to be denied is not right. At least a one off match would at least put the opportunity back into the Spurs players hands.
I find this absolutley hilarious.... bayern utterly dominate make chelsea look terrible and then mess up... its like the gods of karma rewarded chelsea for being rich and punished spurs for employing happy happy... I think its quite funny and for martin broughan i think i can say well done chelsea!
Nah, just the Carling Cup winners. I doubt Bale will leave. But if he does they could get £40+million for him. I think Modric could leave, champions league or not. The biggest issue I think is they may now struggle for a top top striker signing.
After some of the crap that lot come out with - I found a few of my mates supporting Chelsea for that reason.
The neutral and CL suffer, SPurs are just far better to watch, chelsea are a disgrace to modern football. I understand Greece doing that I understand Stoke doing that I understand it when plying Barca But Chelsea paid 200m+ for that lot and sat back and did nothing but rather yet again depended on the opposition to not take chances many. To opt out of playing football with a squad that cost that much. People ref italian performances and chavs attempt to link that to their team which is idiotic as the italians actually did prvent chances being created, Barca and Bayern created 20 very scorable chances over those 3 games and took fk all of them. That and that alone is why cheslea managed to win the CL. If they managed to shut out the opposition then you can say, what a defensive plan, but it was useless in preventing chances, Robbin and Messi I am sure are blaming themselves this summer and not crediting chelsea As in 2006 I thught as I do now, the CL starts when the league starts so if you fail to get into a top 4 position you are out.. champions or not, thing is, the qualifiers are over before the previous final is played and that is the main issue there.
The champions should get the right to defend their trophy in my view. Spurs only have themselves to blame, what was it, 7 points clear of Arsenal at one point and they bottled it. You should go into the season wanting to win the league not aiming to finish 4th because that's the risk.
Gutted that Chelsea won, but at least Spurs will lose most their best players now and means we have one less team to compete with Cya Bale, Modric, VDV. Oh, and they lose Adebayor also and deffo can't afford his wages if they wanted to buy him for next season. Incidently, Chelsea should get a CL spot for being (unworthy) champions. If it were up to me, we'd just have 5 clubs from England in it now, but well, the rules changed.
