To be fair, Chelsea winning it is starting to dawn on me, now I stopped laughing at Spurs. They have made history and have become the first London club to win it and that hurts a lot. Chelsea just have a load of winners and that comes from their owner right down to the tea lady. We on the other hand, are anything but when it comes to trophies. Our mentally is not the same and that is painful. We so badly need to end this trophy drought. Without ending it we are never going to go the next level.

It don't matter if we all kiss and make up and even have an orgy....Are things going to actually change with ARSENAL? Are we going to take the steps needed to allow us to win trophies and challenge for the title? We will have to wait and see, if we fail to keep RVP then we know the answer, and it's a big ****ING NO and a repeat of the same bullshit for the past few years. We're almost 10 years without a trophy, and look no closer to getting one, in fact we look further than ever away from winning a trophy, and that's complete bullshit.

Sick of coming 3rd or 4th best, sick of seeing the other ****ers getting glory and making history, while we have to hear bullshit from Wenger (and apologists) of being proud to qualify 15 years running in Europe and having a nice bank balance, yeah, 15 years running in Europe, and NOT ONE TIME HAVE WE LIFTED THE ****ING TROPHY, WOOPTY ****ING DOOOOOO.

Even Chelsea have now managed to win the trophy while all we can talk about is how we always manage to qualify for the tournament, IT'S SO ****ING FRUSTRATING, it's almost an insult to hear that ****, seriously, who in the **** does Wenger think he's kidding with that bullshit? Chelsea, Manu, and Pool have all won the trophy in the past 6 years and this ****er expects us to get all excited and proud when he says ah yes we qualified for it again? We have such a ****ING LOSER MENTALITY AT THIS CLUB which is being fed by Wenger when he says such stupid bull ****.

So you choose which camp your in, you can either be in the dickless loser camp who's satisfied with coming 3rd and 4th best, and wining nothing while your rivals are consistently wining trophies (even new ****ers are now getting on the act with Mancity). Or you can be in the camp of winners, who doesn't accept coming 3rd or 4th best, who think it's unacceptable, and a failure, and the only real ambitions we should be going for is wining trophies and silverware, and anything less is not good enough.

errrr... i know this may be unwise of me but....would you really be satisfied spending as much as man city or chelsea and winning a trophy because i wouldn't though i can respect your opinion. Personally it would just fill me emptiness. For the record i get a lots of stick from chelsea fans but i like the way we go about our dealings.

We don't need to spend a billion pounds, we can spend 50-60 million ON THE RIGHT PLAYERS, while getting rid of the **** players, and making sure we keep our best players, and job done.

But we never do that, we've spent a lot of money, but on a lot of ****, like squilachi, park etc, and then we have persisted in remaining with **** PLAYERS who do nothing for us but make us worse like Chamakh, Bendtner, Denilson, Arshavin etc. You can literally name 11 players right now with Arsenal who are completely useless for us and belong nowhere near this squad, so why do we keep them when they make us a bad team? And furthermore since Arsenal are so cost effective, why are they paying **** players, when that money can be used for much better players to make us a better team?

What else would you describe players like Chamakh, Arshavin, Denilson, and Squilachi as, other than sh!t? I mean Denilson takes the cake, no player made me shout out loud in major frustration as he did due to his complete uselessness.

Plus I use a lot of profanity now because I'm so frustrated with Arsenal. I actually used to be the biggest Arsenal apologist out there, I would always find an excuse when we lost, and would come up with every spin to make everything look positive, that we have a bright future, young players, have good finances, don't spend money and still getting to the top, I was worse than Piskie, but everyone has a limit.

Wow - just wow! Hadn't read a line of this last night.
Disturbed that you guys got so ragged about the result. I didn't care , and couldn't bring myself to watch all of it.
Whats the lesser of 2 evils? Spurs bragging they have CL football? Or moneybags Chavski getting the F'ing trophy we should have had.?

I can't really decide - I'm just accepting that under this owner and Manager we just aren't competing for honours.......
Please don't spend wasted energy fighting amongst yourselves - it gives the others ammunition to have a go at us.
Just pray for signings and dross departures before August.

Hothead and Arsenal87, be careful, it seems to me that you are trying to become the supporter police. Just for the record I have lived in Peckham, Camberwell and Balham all of which are south of the river.
Work took me to Milton Keynes Coventry and Dusseldorf I only ever supported 1 team
I welcome supporters from every country ,race, religion sex, age and location.
Whatever happened last night is totally irrelevant to Arsenal we have to concentrate on ourselves and no-one else or we would drive ourselves crazy. Will we ever catch up with ManU as far as Premiership titles go, I doubt it.
We should congratulate Chelsea on their win last night, whether we like it or not, it's the Arsenal way.

Preach! Precisely, whatever happened last night is of no consequence to us, unless of course you are a spudling.

  15. <applause>. This is exactly the issue. What I saw last night were a team of winners - every single one of them. No hiding, no feeling sorry for themselves, 100% concentration, no fear (even in a penalty shoot out vs Germans), and 100% effort even when totally exhausted and cramping up. It was everything we are not.

You've got the fourth (or fifth?) biggest budget and came third. We've got the sixth biggest budget and came fourth. I'm gutted about what happened last night but neither Arsenal or Spurs can really say we've failed this year.

I can see what you are saying Jayram but if Bayern (or Barca, come to that) had scored from a penalty (or indeed two or three other excellent chances) then Chelsea would have lost. They displayed all the qualities you mentioned but still needed their opponents' incompetence to win it. If the score had been 3-0 (which could have happened with all the Chelsea players doing exactly the same) then would you still be arguing like this?

  19. It was not 3-0 though - Chelsea won. Cech saved the penalty - very good save too, and both his saves in the shoot out were brilliant. There was an element of luck, but there nearly always is. The phrase 'you make your own luck' is somewhat of a cliche but there is meaning to it in that if you give everything, those moments of luck actually matter. Robben's penalty miss would have meant nothing if, for example, Cole was not so ****ing brilliant on the night.

  20. One thing that has been mentioned in this rather heated thread is that over the last 3-4 years players are leaving Arsenal and going on to achieve major success. Consider RVP today - he has seen Cole lift the CL and Nasri, Toure, and Clichy lift the PL - all players he played with before they left Arsenal.

City and Chelsea winning does not help us keep RVP.
