Think that is Drogba's last game, good way to end such a career at one significant club

No, Abramovich will keep him as permanent manager

There were rumours Capello has been lined up, regardless of tonight's result.

He's been a good manager though, there is no way Chelsea would of won two major tournaments with AVB

Hopefully not, it'd be harsh on him after bringing the trophy that Abramovich has craved for nearly 10 years. Unless Di Matteo fancies coming here <whistle>

I have allowed myself a little smile.

    An English team has triumphed.

We all should have wanted them to win.

    Well done Chelsea.

That's the way it often happens, Bayern have had a poor domestic season.

And I know people say Ashley Cole is a knob, but he's our one world class player. What a performance and penalty.

and to think in November we were realistically wondering if RDM was on the shortlist to replace Pearson !!!

im well happy for Chelsea , they have had a strange season , AVB was asked to prep for the future but was booted when he did.
RDM played with the Special Ones squad and won the lot :D

By world class I mean in the top 3 in the world in their position. If you think Rooney qualifies as that then, to pardon my French, you're ****ing wrong.

Olympique Marseille fans might have something to say about that.

Fantastic for Chelsea defying the odds like that in all those matches. Glad I'm not a Bayern Munich player after that how devastating to be that close to winning on your own ground then concede late on, then blow an advantage in the pens, actually feel sorry for them seeing the pictures of them on the pitch.

Not a great game, but showed great spirit to win it on penalties ( especially Germans )

What penalties from the two English men who took them. Would they do that for England? Doubt it, but well done Chelsea i allowed myself a little celebration.

Firstly, I wouldnt say Rooney is a centre forward - he often comes deep lying to initiate play or indeed move out wide. He's the archetypal modern striker.

Secondly - Messi, Ronaldo, Cavani (top scorer in the last copa america), Aguero, Neymar, Drogba (nothing to do with tonight before you say), Ibrahimovic (8 titles in a row before this season)....
