Whitejock, given our recent transfer dealings (2-3 years) and current public statements made by Bates, does this really seem far-fetched to you?
To be honest jonny, no. I'm actually as suspicious as the next guy (in fact, given my history, probably more so). As I mentioned on another thread this evening, all my life I have been trained to challenge everything & assume nothing. This is what I do, and I will never bend to speculation. Fact is fact for me.
I agree, and actually do, but generally keep my own counsel. Some do, but quite often seem to relate it as fact. Then they bombard others with these 'facts'. A lot.

Phil Hay???Is that the same Phil Hay that reported today that "sources" claimed we did not have the money for Ward, without mentioning they were from Ipswich?? A poor journalist in my opinion & the single reason I no longer purchase the Yorkshire Evening Post.
3 different sources, I don't know where you're getting this Ipswich stuff from. Possibly one of them is from Ipswich. What exactly do Ipswich gain by claiming we can't get together a transfer fee if it's not true?
