I really hope we get M'Vila too. Arsenal need one really good defensive midfielder to cover our defense, because lets face it, we'll never play two defensive midfielders in the same team. Song isn't good enough as a DM. I think M'Vila probably is, and his passing ability just makes him an even better prospect for our team. M'Vila is a 21 year old with no premier league experience, and very little creative ability. 2 assists compared to Songs 16 in 11/12. He may be a good defensive screen for the back four, but I maintain that if we actually played with a defensive midfielder who screened the back four, Song could do a good job. i dont know why we are getting so excited about M'Vila.
You've answered your own point mate, M'Vila is a holding player, he will protect the back 4, that means we could see Song in a proper box-to-box role.

Woh, that was quick! With M'Vila, Arteta and Wilshere I think we would have the best midfield in the league. I couldn't really say that with Song in there. With RVP, Walcott, Pod the best attack. The defense is look pretty good too, although I'd prefer Vertonghen to add a little more competition (and sell Djourou). We get so many defensive injuries, they'd probably all get games.

I don't think it takes an entire team to scout a 13 year old player . The future's still as important as the here and now, but I agree we should be focusing a lot of attention to bringing new players who can contribute straight away too.
Well he's coming on a free by activating a clause in his contract. Considering our u18s are actually short of numbers someone else would have inevitably taken his place had it not been him and If you look at his twitter you'll release what a big arsenal fan the kid is. To quote one one of his lines "arsenal are killing it but I don't care I love them!"
