17 points, but as Page Moss says, you'll be no better off if Chelsea win tonight. Infact, you'll be worse off because you won't have a trophy in the cabinet like we did from this season.

Now THAT would be funny. Though unfortunately not as funny as Chelsea not winning the European cup for another year, so I'm still hoping Spurs will be in the CL next season.

  2. Doesn't the game tonight effect us in the Europa League too...?

If Chelsea win then they go into the CL and we get the Europa League spot for being runner-up in the FA Cup. However, if Chelsea lose, they claim the Europa League spot from winning the FA Cup and we collect the Europa League spot from the League cup, where you have to play qualifying games - an early August start.

  4. You prefer fourth, no trophy and potentially no CL football leaving you with the Europa League? So basically, seventeen points instead of a trophy...? You sure your a fan...?

If Chelsea don't win then fair enough...<ok>

We did 2nd and a CL win with Rafa,so whats your point?.

Bottom line is you need Bayern to win for your past seasons efforts to mean anything other than the revenue.

    Come on Chelsea!!!!!!!!!!!

**** me! For those who have difficulty in understanding the league, coming 4th means that you are a better team than those coming 6th, 8th or any where else below 4th. That's why we have a league <doh>

So coming 4th means there are only 3 teams above us and 1 of those we are already close enough to, not to worry about that leaves just 2. That is the target! and surprise surprise it's easier from 4th and rising than it is from 8th and falling.

We have been trying for 4th for long enough not to know the value of it. <ok>

It's great to see the SKY4 gone and that in itself is worth a lot to the PL as a whole. 1st Liverpool kicked out, then Chelsea kicked out, next Arsenal. Brilliant, looking forward to it.

Rafa spent "over £200m" despite Tom Hicks not having a bean of his own to invest and Rafa not even getting the money from sales at the end.

FSG "invested £120m" into Dalglish's signings, despite getting the club on the cheap and swapping assets they inherited - Torres and Babel - to pay for Carroll and Suarez and still have some loose change left over.

A "rant" is when somebody reads calmly from a piece of paper. A tight-lipped, conspiratorial and aggressive whine about a "beyond the pale" hand gesture is not a rant.

A dig at Fergie in the guise of a rant is likely to really upset a Liverpool dressing room. I hear Carra was in tears for Fergie. A "beyond the pale" tirade the day before being humiliated at home 1-4 will not be attributed to upset caused by the said "beyond the pale" non-rant.

Rafa was too defensive, despite us scoring 9 goals more than anybody in '08-'09. The football he played was terrible, despite beating Barca in their own back yard, not by parking a big blue bus but with Barca-like high pressing.

Rafa bought badly, despite never having £30m to spend on a Berbatov and half our first team still being Rafa players.

Rafa upset "midfield genius" Alonso, a £25m player. A £25m player we only got one offer of £12m for the season before he left for his boyhood club, which he'd never have gone to if Rafa hadn't upset him, obviously. His best season being the one he was upset in might suggest Rafa should've upset him earlier.

We were a two-man team in '08-'09, despite Torres and Gerrard being injured for large parts of it. Strangely they didn't include the "midfield genius" Alonso back then as a three-man team. We had to wait for him to leave for it to be noted. And Rafa didn't make 100% profit on Alonso because he can't sign good players, end of.

Zonal is rubbish. Andy Gray said so. He said so every time we leaked a set piece and he reminded us that man-to-man means you know who to blame, therefore the goal doesn't count and you'll only ever leak ten goals in a season. Or something. Pepe Reina didn't get three Golden Gloves because of zonal. He fluked every single one of them.

After the FA Cup semi Ian Herbert wrote a vile and contemptuous piece in the Independent, which was condemned by every single comment from every persuasion of fan as totally out of order.

I don't really want to go into the frenzied media hype over the Suarez and Evra affair, lest it be interpreted as defending racism. But the club's right to appeal was abandoned because the media insisted we were embarrassing ourselves after a very long report from behind closed FA doors. The long report which said phone hacking was only one rogue reporter and the media's unwillingness to let it lie is not admissible as evidence.

So yeah, the media is on our side. God bless 'em.

I stopped reading when I realised you were trying to equate finishing fourth with winning something.

That's why you never learn anything. To finish 4th we had to win 20 games. WIN TWENTY TIMES ok get it.
Compare that to Liverpool who won 14 games. 6 games less; and that children is why Spurs finished
4th and Liverpool finished 8th We WON more.

  15. And despite those six extra LEAGUE wins, you will have nothing but Europa League football to show for it come tonight. Oh, hang on, we have that to look forward to too but we also have a trophy...<yikes>

It is amusing that some bin dippers think the football world is more interested in who may manage Liverpool rather than the CL final. If iirc you are not won the league for 20+ years and unless you get stood manager and a massive injection of cash next year you are most certainly in the 2nd tier of the EPL , you have one ageing great player, a small old stadium. You want to compare yourselves to Manure, you are deluded yoU are way below them. In fact you are with us the also rans. I did really enjoy your CL win with Rafa a few years agp are now like Villa and us, glory you have had it it is I'm the past.
