This bloke from Al Ahly is joint favourite now. I really am enjoying this. Nobody knows any news. Amber Nectar, CI and OLM have absolutely no info and with the exception of OLM its driving them nuts. Think it shows who leaked stuff to us doesnt it. Before all the hand wringing on here like reggie is doing on CI about no manager in place and its no way to run a football club, people should remember we didnt appoint Nigel Pearson until the 29th June after being relegated on the 3rd of May!! Fact.
it does seem a bit like that doesn't it. It looks like the only source the media have is us. So the bookies react accordingly. Bizzare !
Manuel Jose would be a huge gamble (does he even speak English?) but if it did work out I'm sure we wouldn't be playing hoofball.
If they appoint this guy from Al-Ahly, who at 66 will obviously not be set in his ways and be able to adapt well to the rigours of the Championship, which he will obviously have excellent knowledge of via youtube, they will simply make themselves into the biggest laughingstock of football.
Maybe they will try another in-house appointment in which case Kilbane at 33/1 would be the one to back
I still think it's Lee Clark, somethings just not right though that this guy suddenly comes from nowhere to be favourite.
Where has this Jose bloke come from? How did he become favourite? If we did appoint him it'd be a joke. Not because I know anything about the guy, but because of where he is coming from. I refuse to accept the minute possibility that the best man for the job just happens to also be the manager of Al ****ing Ahly.
He might well be a good manager, someone further up seemed to suggest he has his teams playing good football which is a good thing if true. It's just the appointment of someone based on the club they are at currently that I would object to.
I don't know much about this Manuel Jose bloke, But I bet he's the only one with Medal of Sport of First Class awarded to him (By Egyptian president Mubarak), Not Even Sir Alex has one of them. We'll maybe get Zaki Back.
He sounds like a good manager with a great record! Seems like he may want some time off though as he says his wife is ill and is having operations! So possibly a non starter and a big red herring!!!
I don't look on here or the internet for twenty four hours and we have a new front runner.... Who on earth is he?
I think the only connection between him and us, is that he just managed an Egyptian team and we have an Egyptian owner. I might post post an article on football-rumours.com suggesting that Omar Sharif will be the next City manager, just to see how long it takes to appear on here.
Well I guess were all just a bit bored of waiting and wondering so at least all the rumours gives us something to discuss.
