Morning all Paper bought, exercise done, some pumpkin cooked to go in home-made pasta. Time for coffee and test match special...
Chas - It's a mate of Little Miss W_Y's 21st - have you been on the cooking Sherry already? and you need to add York to that bet Cheers for the frothy AK...
Thanks Ak Incredible. I have a parcel coming from Dubai, it was posted there on Wednesday and arrived at the local sorting office in the UK on Friday morning. I will not see it until at least Monday as it at my local sorting office in a van somewhere waiting to be delivered. A day and a half to cover 3500 miles and 3 days plus to cover the last 20. Don't you just love Parcelforce.
Hearts, Blackpool & Chelsea -- my choice Hearts... as the came down for that great testimonial Chelsea.. erm.... well they are not German Blackpool... my neices son supports the hammers... mind you Blackpool is a great day trip for me..
Yes....get in there. Postman Pat has just delivered a CD. I have been trying to get a copy of Moontan by Golden Earring for ages - problem is the copies over here do not have the same tracks as the original vinyl released in the UK and the USA. I have an early vinyl original and wanted the same track list - everywhere sells the later European version. I took a gamble and ordered a copy of someone in the USA - well it came this morning and it's got the original track list...yessssssssssssss Mind you Mrs W_Y isn't too happy with is blaring out over the W_Y Dacha - she was not impressed with my story of seeing them at the 'emel pavilion and they had speakers at the back as well as the front and did stuff in Quadraphonic!! - how 70's is that. Happy days - come on York
Hearts just taken the lead in the Scottish cup final - fairly scrappy and uninspiring affair to be honest, think I'd rather be able to watch the Hammers vs Blackpool but can't.
I managed to find out from the Jamaica Football Federation website that both Mapps and Nos started for Jamaica in their 1-0 home win against Guyana yesterday but I can't find a report to check if they played the whole game. Even though Nos has been around the national squad since 07, it was his first cap.
afternoon all....c'mon Blackpool! Thanks for the caramel latte Ak Had breakfast out this morning, it was a real treat, and a repeat of last week, i could definitely get into this Saturday morning breakfast thing. Then to the gogue, and the hair dresser, and now vegging in front of the game, which hasn't been bad really! Lots of opportunities missed, rather than taken...could go either way! Out this evening, i can't believe we're going to friends for dinner and they won't want to watch the match! I'll have to record it and watch it when i get home..don't worry, i'll avoid all forms of communication til i've seen it!
Difficult for Chelsea and Spurs - not Arsenal as they are in the Champions League next year automatically for finishing 3rd. Spurs are my family team so for once I want an English side other than Arsenal to lose to a foreign team - Come on Bayern Munich
it's lose lose for me..i want Chelsea to win, being as they're English, but i want Spurs in the Champions League next season...dilemma!
i won't miss the West Ham arrogance this season, i hope they get relegated next season! "We are a premiership team, a big club, we just had to remember that" Vaz Te ....what a load of crock!
Next season away to blackpool bank holiday weekend in the sun C,mon FL fixtures computer give us a good `un Will be a hornets meet up as well
The sun does not always shine on the coast, in fact it sometimes rains. Lovely start to the day but the cloud rolled in over the mountains and we have mizzle. Shame for Blackpool, but it does get rid of the fans who have a deluded sense of their place in the order of things.
Last time we played them on Bank Holiday it lashed down all game and we were sitting on a uncovered stand - looked like something off of a golf course. Well that's one team in Orange that failed at Wembley this week-end, fingers crossed it is a brace by this time tomorrow..
There's a Travel Lodge at one end of the ground and a Spoons just around the corner - I had a bottle of Red Wine with my breakfast before the game in that Spoons...was a good day out. Only spoilt when a couple of days later by a speeding ticket arriving in the post!
oh bummer! Can't remember why i couldn't go to Blackpool but there was a reason.. ah well, hopefully next season, and you're on!
