    If Downing had spent 3 years at LFC and Owen had spent a year at MUFC, that comment would actually work.

    Downing's made 46 appearances in that one year, 10 as a sub. Fair enough, Downing is crap, we all know that. But then, no one is trying to defend Downing here, your trying to defend Owen! Owen made 52 appearances in three years, 34 of them as a sub!
