i always think that Rodgers will not do very well at a big club..just a feeling i always get with him..hes got a group of lads over achieving(if there is such a term)

if he left i see them imploding and him being mediocre..struggling to contain big players....but i could be totally on the wrong planet with this one.

I don't like to defend Comolli, but Adam was £7m.
Henderson cost £16m, though. Downing was £20m.

I have it on good authority that he did convince Caulker to sign for us, though.
Apparently the Goons tried to 'persuade' his dad otherwise, but he wouldn't go for it.

Downing on the left, Bentley on the right, Henderson and Adam in the middle, with Bent leading the line! <laugh>

I told you it was unbelievable! Downing at £20 million is the one I should have used.

Adam £7 million ? VDV £8 million Levy wins. <ok>

Benitez might be a decent call, if a little bit risky.
Aren't they still paying him off?

Both jobs are non entities these days and mean nothing to whoever holds them.

I suppose the England job provides a nice pension top-up, if you can stand all the Red Top abuse!

True Spain. I cannot see any knighthoods being awarded this time around can you? Sir Roy Hodgson? Doesn't work does it? Time was that both jobs were once loved by those who held them ie Bob Paisley but not anymore.

I think because he was credited with finding Kolo Touré, Emmanuel Eboué and Gaël Clichy.

He has certainly caused much damage to both Spurs & Liverpool. We had an excuse to employ him but what was Liverpool's. Americans who know nothing about football being badly advised perhaps.

Agent Comolli! the thing about Comolli is more the size of the fees paid for the players as while we all mock players like downing, bent and carroll, they aren't totally useless and have showed form at clubs so you can understand why they get rated but the fees paid are outrageous!

I was hoping that a Mouser would bite at my referring to John Barnes as "a 'Pool legend" but instead, I got you, Spurf!

    I wasn't expecting that!
