Now the question is: Which group or singer would you have loved to see in concert? The rule is that the group or singers are now no longer performing.

    My choices:

Band - ELO. (Original line up)
Singer / musician - Jimi Hendricks.

Genesis when Gabriel was the front man, or possibly circa 1977 after Trick of The Tail and Wind & Wuthering came out. The light shows around that era where knockout. Saw them after that a few times and they were good but had really sold out to commercialism at that stage.

[I know they still perform, but rarely, only when they need some dosh]

The Tubes. Circa 1976. What a band. Were pretty outrageous in their day but again became more commercial later. I remember reading in the paper when I was a teenager that they'd been banned across the UK (so cool) and in the end did a limited number of shows. "White Punks On Dope" is still a classic.

Talking Heads. David Byrne is so 'out there'. Always liked their off-kilter sound. They did some great stuff. "Psycho Killer" reminds me of Dai. <laugh>

INXS (with the late great Michael Hutchence). Nuff said.

Can't think of any more but I'm sure I will....

Yes are still performing Musty, though not with the 'normal' line-up. Saw them a few times - 1978, 2001, 2003 all with the classic lineup. Probably the best live band ever.

Led Zeppelin the gutter is i had a chance for knebworth tickets in 79, but was let down by a mate. always regretted that.

Mind you saw sabbath in 97 at milton keynes bowl and fleetwood mac at wembley stadium in 91 so 2 out of 3 ambitions realised.

offside i know Percy Plant is still performing, but does LZ go down as a rule break
