Actually if we have to sell him it sounds very good. Should lets us negotiate a good price, to buy a good new striker. You are very funny. No really, i think its the originality of your humour that elevates it beyond mere mortals. How long did you take thinking up this inspired reference to incest? I salute you. Colchester for back to back promotion? Bold prediction!
Understandable reaction I guess. Not nice when your manager is off and the players are looking for moves..been there before.
Interesting chat on your board at the moment Battersea. There seems to be 4 theories. 1) He's been tapped-up by another club. 2) He misses the north. 3) Lambert's off and he wants to go with him. 4) He's trying to max out his earnings at the back end of his career. Thoughts?
in truth yeah he did a bit. I just hate reading crap like that on a messageboard where i post, where i actually get accused of being patronising for saying optomistic things about another club. The schadenfreude shown by football fans is bloody depressing sometimes.
just banter battersea, thats what happens on these boards.personally I try to be level and give honest opinions.some dont.
Touched a nerve, or just upset that Holt has had enough? I only post my Juvenile comments about Norwich on the QPR board, where you have been made bafflingly welcome. If you don't like it, **** off. I have been 100% consistent in my dislike for your club and I won't be changing
Hey Telford, happy to see you! I think lamberts staying, but i think grant holt is a realistic guy. He didn't start all our games this year, and was second choice for much of the season. If we strengthen over the summer he could fall further down the pecking order, and his stock would drop accordingly. He's an ambitious guy, who challenges himself further each season. If he thinks his challenge has peaked at Norwich, of course he wants to up the stakes elsewhere, because he believes he can always do more. Also, he should be earning 30k or so a week realistically. We won't pay him that, so its fair for him to put his familys financial future before the appeasement of the clubs fan base.
C'mon Battersea, you lot have been walking on water for the last couple of years, this is the first time that success might have a price to pay, note the word 'might'...
Battersea tut tut? Seem to be a bit 'touchy' about Grunt wanting out? Now it may not have been you but our boards have been bomarded with Norwich fans re 'Points deduction' and 'Relegation' over time and all i keep hearing is 'how well Grunt is doing' so it's nice to get a bit of payback when things go wrong for you. Lambert will leave and so will Hulk which would probably send you down. it's an opinion on a QPR board and if you don't like it do as SB says.
I'm inclined to agree about Lambert although it's interesting that Goldeneye175 would rather see Lambert off than Holt. As an outsider I'd have put more stock in holding on to Lambert. All about opinions I guess. Interesting too Holt still scored lots even as second choice and came close to the Euro's. I think he's still got a lot to offer at this level wherever he plays. Maybe Norwich now have the dilemma of whether or not to break their pay structure to hang on to him. A lot of your posters are saying they should. I would say whether he goes or not you'd have to strengthen over the summer. We all do. Not a dig at your current team, I just think by standing still you can go backwards really quickly. The margins between mid-table and the bottom weren't that great this season and there'll be three hungry newcomers too. I can't wait already.
I don't mind the idea of Holty leaving, though it will be a sad day, as its easy to get protective of a player who is often wrongly put down and belittled. And of course its an opinion which you're welcome to make, and of course you're free to banter, but i can critique it too no?
yeah we definitely need to strengthen, both up front and at the back. Despite playing well and scoring lots we let in a **** ton of goals, and got very few clean sheets (3?) Whilst Lambert and Holt are important, McNally is the core of Norwich now, he's what has brought Norwich from the brink of disaster to mid table in the PL in 3 years. Next season already has me nervous!
Lots of clubs seem to be in chaos with the managerial merry go round and ego driven players. Just as well QPR are showing how a club should be run with happy players and fans all pulling in one direction. No wonder other Premiership clubs are looking at the stability we are displaying and are envious of us.
Battersea i want Hulk to stay with you guys because i want to see a Norwich v QPR game where he doesn't score past us. Next season will be a MH team and i can't wait for the clash.
