Liverpool are a big Club in the Newcastle / Spurs / Sunderland mold. There's certainly potential there to push up and be a top six side if you get in the right Manager. The huge Clubs are there to stay but if Liverpool do things properly, there could be more Carling Cups on the way and maybe even an FA Cup or the Europa League Title. Add to that some attractive football and the possibility of a new Stadium and the 'Pool could be a decent side. No disrespect but you're bigger than Swansea, West Brom and Fulham and shouldn't be tussling with them for League Position. The aim should be to progress in the Europa League and try and dislodge Newcastle in that fifth spot. There's no reason why you shouldn't finish above Everton as well next season. In that respect, Matinez is the man for you. Hes a good young Manager who knows his way around the Premier League. Best of luck next season.

Still don't understand it. Is it being compared to Sunderland? What's wrong wi' the Mackems? They're a big Club. Roy Keane spent around 100m quid in his couple of years there (all squandered I might add). They have a Stadium bigger than yours as well and have one of the best Managers in the business. Maybe its because they're real Northerners? Liverpool is really only in the north midlands after all. Whatever the reason, you lads certainly seem to have a chip.

If that's the criteria (and I agree that it is) then you are indeed a big Club, something which I said in the OP. You're just not a Super Club and have never been since the inception of the Premier League. See yourselves as a big Club around upper mid-table, stop harping back to the "during the wuar" Uncle Albert days, and I promise you you'll feel more content and at peace with yourselves - knowing your place. You're a good Club but with these crazy notions yis have about yourselves, you just look like a bunch of doped-out cranks to the rest of the footballing public. This is the crucial thing. Every time someone mentions us not being big or can't do this or that, that is the exact point, people are always talking about us. Talksport are on about us all day, as are sky sports utd news and not forgetting the actual dozens upon dozens of fans that camp on our board to try and belittle us. All of this just reminds me of just how big a club we are!! So I thank them for the support.
