How the hell did we use to fit another 10k plus into Loftus road ?? I think it was a cup quarter final against Chelsea where there was something like 28k in the place and the atmosphere was mad. I know it was standing in the paddocks, school end and Loft but still amazes me where we all used to fit in.

I was in the 35,000+ against Leeds in 74 and it was like a sardine can, limited viewing of anything nearby as well...

I was stood in the Paddock and remember the surges from the Leeds fans which almost castrated me and my friends who were stood up against the wall at pitchside. My abiding memory however is the Leeds fans breaking thorugh the Police barrier at the school end and running at the Loft. Don't think they got anybody because the few fans still there ran for their lives as soon as they saw the barbarians coming towards them

I used to stand right behind the goal in the loft (lower)when we would get 25-28K and when we scored it was manic! saying that with 18-20K it was manic as well.
Agree how did we all fit in? My mate (old git) was at the 35K game v Leeds and many outside could not get in.
If we can stay in Prem and all plans go ahead i see us being able to fill a good sized new stadium.

And a few mounted policemen if I remember correctly. The School End used to be a pretty big terrace, have never figured out how we only got that tiny stand where it used to be, where the rest of the space has gone.
Guess that makes me an old git as well Bok.

I think there must've been somewhere near 10,000 Leeds fans there as it was their final match and they'd already clinched the title, they were not just at the School End...

It was always very scary being a teenager in the paddock in those days. I too got caught up in a surge against a crash barrier (against West Ham i think) and at one point i honestly thought i was gonna die.
    Oh happy days :)

Had the same feeling at the Wembley FA Cup Finals. Arrive nice and early, find a good spot up against the barrier, half hour before kick off its impossible to move. Not fun after a few pre match pints........no wonder the Kop at Anfield used to be a waterfall of piss. Cue Scouser jokes.....

Sorry about that. its only for a day or two. Maybe we should all have the same Avatars for our Bayern support?

Where do you get them? Also will reunite Swords and Col who are bitching a bit at the moment but are both in the 'support any English team abroad' camp.

The future Mrs QPR Matt has just reminded me of the Ipswich chant:-

[to the tune of the Addams Family]

    Your sister is your mother
    Your father is your brother
    You all shag one another
    The Norwich family

    ...makes me laugh.

Not sure I want Chelsea to win tomorrow Stan if I'm honest because that'll mean Spurs will miss out on the CL next season. It would be great for Di Matteo though if they won it.

Incidentally, I wonder if that guy on the "International Team" thread who loves roaring out the "German bombers" song at England games would be supporting the English team against the German one tomorrow night? I would hope so or else hes a hypocrite.

I know all kinds of stuff can get sung at football matches. Irish fans do it. I'm sure Scots, French etc do too. So I wouldn't let it bother you too much mate.

He was clearly trying to bait Butthuber though, who is a pleasant enough chap. That chap will probably be supporting Bayern tomorrow night and that's the irony of it!

Just put in Bayern and go to images. Pick the one you want and save to your PC Pics. Then go onto 'Control Panel' on this site and edit avarter and save the image.
    Simples.
