He'd be a very decent signing for us, nowt like him in the league.

Seb & McLean would give him plenty to go at.

Not against (although not really bothered either way...)

My guess is he was gutted not to be picked for England and his agent has said 'you need to move to a bigger club to get noticed'. Hah! Remind you of anyone???? Request rejected according to SSN but as we all know you can't keep an unhappy player. The fans will feel very let down I am sure.

Powerful strong lad and has shown he can hit the net this year. Might be a one season wonder though but still worth a punt as back us to fletcher, who remains my number one 'want' this summer.

To be fair to the lad, he's not young, he's had a smashing season, and I imagine his wages are pretty low.

This summer may be the only chance for him to leap to a bigger club.

Just read a Norwich forum and they reckoned we have signed Zak Whitbread from them.

    Let silly season begin.

They released Whitbread yesterday, he's a canny defender, but perenially injured.

Nailed on we sign him then...

I am convinced its us thats made the enquiry for him. theres no logical reason why Newcastle would go for him theyre strong in that dept (unless Mr Ba's on his way ). Everton cant afford him, theyre on the bones of their arse, but more significantly when he was at Shrewsbury a few years back, he always stated that he wanted to move back to a club close to Cumbria at the end of his career and I cant see any of the Lancs clubs being his option.

Nah ! This all smells of us sniffing especially if the Fletcher rejection story is anything to go by.

Would O'Neill rub his protege Lambert up the wrong way by signing him?

31 though, and i'd imagine they'd be looking for £5-8million.

Hell of a gamble at the top end of that bracket.

Ba is deffinatly going to leave IMO but i think the scouts might what to act clever again and try to take a risk which might put them back a year if they **** up

Everton still have a bit of cash from the PL this season

Totty might see him to replace Ady

and he could be good for us... but if we actually sign him he deffinatly wont <laugh>
