Some managers walk away or get sacked from their clubs and blame the owners. And often we, as well as pundits, talk on here of "only 2 million" and the like and "why don't we buy him?".
However, if I were fortunate to be exceedingly wealthy, and owned a club, I wouldn't just hand over money because a guy I appointed or even inherited to run the club, says thats what I should do. I would want convincing.
And I am convinced that many managers tell their owners that they can do a job and when they fail, they blame lack of funds or backing. It may be true in some cases, but as Swansea and we proved, you don't have to spend massive to achieve a measure of success.
I would imagine WBA, Fulham, Sunderland would now, as with Stoke, feel comfortable and want to step up to the next level and win a trophy or qualify for Europe regularly. We aren't there just yet but if we are still there in a couple more seasons I guess that would be our ambition also.
Lets hope the board have managed to convince everyone, not just PL, that we are striving for that and just need a bit of time. Then we can avoid the problems or concerns of our manager and his staff being tempted away by clubs who want instant success because of history or size or reputation.

Yes, cynicism is understandable given so much of recent history; but there still are folk of sound sense and principle out there in football. Clubs like Swansea, Wigan, West Brom (and dare we say it Norwich) are proof that there's more to a successful club than loads'a'money, quick fixes and fleeting success at all costs. That said, I'm sure Swansea doesn't represent the pinnacle of Brendan Rogers' ambition, any more than City does PL's. Both no doubt aim to reach the top of their profession in due course, and that does involve managing a major club, whether here or abroad.

As far as PL is concerned I think that his German connection and the contacts he has there are being too easily overlooked especially as I understand that PL does speak German and several German clubs are looking for or thinking about a new Manager. Liverpool? Villa? WBA? Germany? - I still stand by my line of thought that PL will not be at Carrow Road at the end of the month.

funny that the binners have dissapeared now that lambert is looking less likely to go to villa, certainly in terms of what the media is reporting with Ole.

The minute it's confirms I'm setting up a permanent base on the Colchester board

"Camp Mikey's Predictions" where he can just spew his essex boy twat sayings all day.

the binners were being slightly more constructive, but they are just waiting for any sort of despair at our club, theres not a lot of that for them though I'm afraid.
