2 years ago we went with my youngest, and at lunch they allowed the crowd onto the hallowed turf. It was unbelievable, first time in 18 years apparently! Very exciting it was :)

Morning all. I was supposed to be out for the day today but got cancelled this morning, so ...i'm going to spend the time wisely. Spending some time in here, doing my exercises, and taking some big black sacks up to my bedroom to clear wardrobes and draws of stuff i haven't worn in years, nor never likely to! Should be a tiring day, but hopefully constructive!

Agreed, nothing better on a warm summer day. In fact, when I win the Euromillions, my plan is to quit work immediately and become a professional sports watcher - touring the world to watch carefully selected games - a test match here, a football match there. ;) The wife isn't too enthralled at the prospect though. <laugh>

Snap BB - that is exactly my plan. But in between the sporting events, I will be visiting all of the wonders of the world that I can - funny Mrs W_Y was none too impressed either..

Robo has been released by Bolton - come on Baz, sign him up!

Well done Broad - wicket with first ball of the day 7-72.

Now it's up to the batsman to do their bit.

Time for a name change, more in line with what I usually use.

Was having a good chat with Aaron Tumwa last night about Watford, training, the players, general stuff like that....

Apparently Kevin Phillips almost signed for us last Summer, he was at the ground etc.

Well assuming they were on time about an hour ago my youngest completed the last of his Finals exams - so he is probably getting drunk by now. Cannot believe that all five have now finished Uni and moved out into the big wide world

Don't mean to be rude about your new name MM but to me Lux always was a bathroom soap

Lux if you do not like your new name you can not go back to the old one. I found that out.

A few years ago, I was a Middlesex member. New members plus 1 guest can get a tour of the ground if they turn up early enough before the start of play - obviously you have to let them know in advance which match, but I've been into the Long Room, the Tavern Bar where we spoke to one of players (I think it was Ben Scott who is now at Worcs), the press area, seen the honours board but, not surprisingly, you weren't allowed to go into the dressing rooms. The one time I've been to a Test match it was against Sri Lanka, and the first day in about '92 and Alec Stewart batted the whole day and we thought we were going to see him get a ton but he slowed down near the end of the day, and was booed because of it. When you're a Surrey player at Lord's...
