Bit of a quandary really. Sit back and enjoy the show, or try to get a monkey on if anyone's going 5/2 in the morning? Decisions, decisions...
Just as well I only had a small (fictional) bet on Arctic Cosmos then (£50 ew at 6s last night). I see the 6s have gone though. I think he was only that price because he ran a stinker last time out. But that was on soft; today it's good. Hoping that if he reproduces his Leger running he should reach a place but only a dabble in case the ground wasn't the cause last time.
Having just watched the video of her Newmarket run, I certainly won't be taking her on. On visual impressions she's explosive, thoroughly precocious and looks a straightforward ride. Travel like a Rolls Royce, give her an inch of reign, and "shazaam", you're driving a Maserati
My donkeys for today. Usual mix of picks from here and I couple of my own. Got singles on the lot and stuck them in an lucky e/w 31 and e/w accumulator 8/1 - War Poet 14:00 York 6/1 - Way Too Hot 15:00 York * 13/2 - Qaraaba 15:55 Newmarket 10/1 - Troopingthecolour NAP 16:10 York 7/1 - Mr Syntax 18:30 Aintree
2.00 York - LYRIC STREET 14/1 BOG - SPIFER 5/1 BOG I had LYRIC STREET down as a really confident selection on 1000 guineas day before he was declared a non runner and I fancy him again today. However I do think Spifer is a potential Group performer so I will be having a saver on him

So much good racing today and I really can't find anything that I strongly fancy. The Yorkshire Cup looks a fascinating renewal but I can't help but feel that all of the contenders want further which is confusing the hell out of me when it comes to reading the form.
Hello lads. Haven't looked at the cards in any depth...watching the cricket. Well,Trott is in now so can find something else to do.Have to agree with Bumble, the guy is a complete joke, just stopped the game in mid over to tighten his studs and he's only just arrived in the middle!..totally ridiculous...no excuse. Anyhow, plenty to choose from today...wheat from the chaff job now. GL all.
I agree with you on the Yorkshire Cup Gorgeous, i have looked at it for ages and cannot find anything i can become even half confident about so have decided to steer well clear with regard punting. I chose Arctic Cosmos for my Telegraph racing comp selection with Times up my other selection.
What else were you expecting Wooly. Possibly the best horse of all time. He'll not start any race bigger than 1/3 all season.
