    17 years old, sent to Cardiff on site as part of my apprenticeship, did not want to go. After first weekend out with men from site, Tiger Bay, clubs, woman, did not want to go back home.

    The apprenticeship was fitter/turner but became fitter half way through when they split them and yes its all in the book.
