It may have taken several weeks but we've gone from total silence to gallows humour. Give it another six months and you may even admit we're no different to any other team. In the unlikely event you're four down after half an hour in Munich, I look forward to hearing Chelsea songs blaring through the tv.
i wonder if they still would of celebrated if Bolton won and QPR got relagated? we should get used to teams celebrating for Man Utd's rivals, a successful teams like us are bound to have many hater's.
As a neutral I got no end of flak for suggesting on QPR's board that their team threw it after the Bolton result became known, something most of them now accept.I do feel that this devalues the Premiership title this season. You spend half a billion quid and then need another team to cheat to allow you to win it by goal difference. My main grief is that we (Norwich) let in eleven against them and yet had results against Arsenal,Spurs,Chelsea and Liverpool. We should have parked the bus.
We clearly didn't just wave them through. Taiwo got sucked in and created the space for Aguero to skip past a couple of challenges, challenges that wouldn't have gone in if we were throwing the game, and it still needed a cool finish to beat Kenny's dive, a dive that wouldn't have been made if we were throwing the game. If our players knew the Bolton result then it's understandable that after 93 minutes of defending for their lives that they weren't 100% on it as they had been. To label it as cheating is just incorrect but then again, you called Tevez a spic so maybe you're just ignorant.
This is beyond parody. Only some of the Rangers team knew the score from Stoke. I know that for some strange reason a number of six-fingered, web-toed Canary lovers have developed a dislike for QPR. But to go from this to the idea that the Rangers "cheated" is a fantasy that does you no credit.
No I called him that because that is what he is.I could have added "Cheating" "Devious" "Dishonourable" or "Vile" and all of those would be accurate too.I never suggested that QPR players thought "We will throw it" They just heard the result from Stoke and eased off a bit.The QPR support however revelled in the City win.Title cheapened to the point of being worthless IMHO.
If that's your opinion then I suggest it is your opinion that is worthless, particularly if you stand by calling someone a Spic. Norwich came far closer to throwing their games against City than we could possibly be accused of. The fans had just heard we'd stayed up, sorry for not just standing there solemnly.
Well that's your opinion.Obviously not that of the QPR fan who posted "That's for you Ashley Young" immediately after this disgraceful episode.
But why did the fans at the game celebrate by signing chanting against United when you found out you were safe?
Because a fan on a messageboard can have an influence on the team... If you'd had a ridiculous penalty given against you at Old Trafford and later conceded a goal meaningless to Norwich which denied Young and United the title, you'd be a little pleased.
Did that even happen? I can understand people favouring City over United given what they've gone through. I can also understand some resentment from our fans towards United for Cantona's goal in our relegation season and Young's penalty this season. Some might have just been relieved that they weren't going to have their heads kicked in.
It just sours the game for me.If City had won the title on merit I for one would be cheering for them. But this whole episode with even Mara "Hand of God" Dona got in onthe act,it's just so...tacky.If Spurs,Arsenal or Newcastle had been in with a shout I would have been just as much in support of them as I was for United. Not because I support any of those teams but because football would have been the winner not some Sheikh with a big chequebook.
So rather American money than Arab? They pummelled us from all angles and on another day we'd have been 5-0 down by injury time. I'd far rather City won it as their fans, most of which have been around for more than five minutes, have gone through some proper hard times. If United had won it would have been just another title to add to the collection. In 10 or 20 years we might all be sick of City winning everything but for now I think they deserve some credit.
