Very good news imo. I think he knows he does'nt have enough experience to manage a big club yet because he has turned down both Chelsea and Liverpool in the last couple of months. Its a good decision from him imo.
Agreed, fair play to him. Some managers would go for a job out of their depth and wouldn't realise it. But he knows that he has something good at Swansea and i would love to see how he gets on in the same job. I would love to see his style of football at Anfield someday but I feel it would have been a huge risk. Good luck to him.
He does continue to impress me - seems very level headed and is not keen to rush his development by taking on this big job.
could mean they will look somewhere else... good thing IMO. ONY IF it brings a higher claiber manager to the selection process..
If he himself feels he is not ready, he is not ready. He sounds like a wise man who is clearing confident opportunities will come again.
If thats true then this could take a while. Personally, I think it needs to be a quick appointment but ultimately the right appointment. I'm sure FSG will have set a timesclae for the process.
I'd like to see him at Liverpool in a few years if he proves himself. He's done a fantastic job instilling his philosophy onto the calibre of players Swansea can access. He's made good signings. Can he develop Swansea from now? That is the test.
window opens june 1. can't see it by then. I say its good for him that he knows where he stands. I think he'll keep developing and get a big job eventually. but guys one must remember a certain paul jewell here. he looked ok coming up didn't he? didn't last.... i think a lot of these managers need to prove themsevles a lot more IMO
