Just to clarify things, Johnny Evans did not replace Rio, he replaced Vidic. Rio and Evans were our first choice CBs. SAF said he wasn't sure Rio could play that many games in such short space, although he did a few times for United this year. Regardless, Terry shouldn't have been picked based on form and the disruption he'll bring to the squad. Another thing, IMO England have 3 midfielders who can pass a ball, Wilshire, Scholes, and Carrick. Not one of them is in the squad.
And you know this how ? Rio Ferdinand 39 game starts in ALL competitions this season. John Terry 51 game starts in ALL competitions this season. Terry has 31 league starts to Ferdinand's 30 this season.
