Hes now tapping up Hill in the media saying he wants to sign him which is not allowed. Hes now living up to his name "Colin"
TF's decision to replace NW has been proven to be the right one as it has achieved its purpose - we have stayed up! Whether NW would have kept us up or not is irrelevant. If MH had failed to keep us up then the question of how NW would have done would be very relevant. TF was very honest and open at the time, he didn't really want to do it but felt that it was in the best interest of QPR. He said he would take responsibility if it went wrong. He's a good man and we are lucky to have him. Personally I have a lot of respect for NW and what he did for us - I would probably have stuck with him - but that's me fiercely loyal. Can't believe how some people choose to talk about NW, surely a QPR legend. You're a Colin, Flyer!
NW SHOULD have been seen as a legend by everyone after what he did for us in the championship... Personally i think he was struggling in the prem but we'll never know what might have been.. I think we'd have gone down. I just wish he'd walked away with his head held high and was remembered for all the good he did for our club. Flyer will confirm that i never liked the bloke, but he was what we needed at that time and has earned a big place in our history as a legend.. Just wish he'd stop making comments in the media and doing these interviews. Instead of having his own seat permanently reserved for him, when ever he wants. The PR machine is helping him dig his own grave... Neil, if you can hear me..shut up and let us remember you for all the great things you did for our club....PLEASE!
Hypothetical question, but i think we would have been safe a month ago with Colin. We were 17th when he left before the January window when he would have strenthened the squad, and unlike under MH, we would have got a lot points from the eaisier games from Jan to March - enough for us to have been safe mid April. We did very well in the 2 months after Colin got in new players end August, and I think we would have done the same again in the winter.
I really can't argue with any of this. This sums it up for me on the whole Warnock issue. I need not say any more on the matter.
We will never know, but all I know is MH is a proven Premiership Manager which bodes well for next season. I am excited to see who comes in, MH has much more clout than NW in getting in quality players and probably at more sensible wages and contracts. Having said that my thanks go out to NW for all he did, he got us into the Prem after all.
