Got a horrible feeling we'll fail to qualify for the group stages :| Would be typical of us.

Don't underestimate obscure clubs, We were knocked out of CL qualifiers by Partizan Belgrade a decade ago.

    You misunderstood mate.

Anzhi are one of the richest clubs in the world, with Samuel Eto'o, Zhirkov, Bousouffa, Samba and more!

It's in Dagestan, so not a pleasant visit, and would be a nightmare draw.

I looked at that list of qualifiers, and guessed that was the last one you'd want!

Struggled so badly they qualified for the Europa, from a very tough and wealthy league.

I wish we'd struggled like that...

Carlos is no longer manager, he is assistant, to Guus Hiddink.

Hiddink has a better than average record, if memory serves...

Last time I watched Anzhi I can only remember seeing Roberto Carlos facepalming in the dugout at every given chance lol

GH is a great manager though, should of got Chelsea job ahead of Ancelotti.

    Absolutely mate, arguably the best.

I was hoping you got 4th, pulled out Malaga in a qualifier, and I got to see you binned out live.

Not that i'm bitter that my own team is turd or owt...

Wanted to manage Russia and was only prepared to manage Chelsea on a temporary basis.

I wanted us to get it so much... but in hindsight I'm excited with Europa, It's the same thing but without the cooler teams and we don't hear that cool music.

You had an amazing season, I drink with a load of Mags, and if i'm honest, for them I was quite pleased you made Europe, but I couldn't have handled CL (unless the aformentioned scenario happened!)

The mackems on here seem to be totally different to ones I saw on another site, that I tried to be friendly with.

We can go through next season with more banter than gloating next season.

We have our moments mate, we all do.

My dad's a Mag, and my missus, so although i'm die hard Sunderland, it's more 'dislike' than 'hate'.

I'd be happy for us both to be ****ing decent for a spell, I care too much about Sunderland to hate Newcastle, if that makes any sense!
