sad fukers trying to take bites out of each other because you want to wear the 'i am the best fan' badge....if you follow a team for whatever reason then so be it so long as you stick with that team....no idiot can tell you who to support...there are people who support teams even though they are not very succesfull over the years...why is that? couls be many reasons from favourite childhood hero to...'having once visited the stadium and fallen in love with the whole concept' etc etc....yet you get fools like arsenal4life trying to tell everyone that he lives near his team's ground so he deserves more credit than the rest....which implies that he is a bigger fan than an Arsenal fan who lives further away...pathetic.

your theory also implies that if you move then you should seize supporting the team you was following and find one closer to your new home as your in it's 'catchment area'! <doh>

your theory has the potential to cause factions within it's own fanbase...therefore is flawed...and has a hint of nazism thrown into it for good measure...dont ask me how as i might just have to explain.

that is like saying Arsenal only really have 60,000 'real' fans...since thats how many you get at your home matches...yet all of them wont live in North London....whilst there will be others who live a squirt of piss away from the Emirates yet cant afford to go...whos the real fan now? the season ticket holder who lives 100 miles away or the man who lives very near the area yet can only afford to go once a year?

fuk knows who gave you the right to make such a judgement as they are both fans who love their club. <ok>

your last 3 lines are your disclaimer in order to make someone think twice about giving you a reply...your a bit precious arent you? <ok>

It's more a case of those 10,000 (if not way more) feeling that Premiership prices should be paid only for Premiership football. After paying 612 quid for my season ticket last season (the cheapest one available) and feeling utterly ripped off for the ****e I encountered, I count myself in that number.

You don't choose a team, it chooses you.

If you have no link to United, Liverpool, Chelsea etc. and just choose to support them then I don't see how you're not a glory hunter. There was a guy on sky sports news yesterday who used to be a Chelsea fan but saw them lose in the cup in 1967 so didn't fancy that and became a Bayern Munich fan after seeing them win on TV because they were winners. He and his son now have season ticket at Bayern despite living in South London.

Saying that though, I was born in Liverpool and moved to London aged 11. I now live on the south coast, and since had kids. They weren't given a choice who to support - I literally TOLD them they are Liverpool fans, they happily obliged <ok>

That's fair enough. I think kids should always support their dad's team or, failing that, the local side. Football would be a much better and healthier sport in this country if everyone did one of those.

Although living so far away from Liverpool these days, I've managed to take them to a fair few games. Also many away games in London, including the recent Carling cup final. So I try my best to get them as involved as possible.

    But like I said - They didn't have a choice <laugh>
