Please tell me this is a wind up! This is a journo who blocked me on twitter because I accused him of trying to paint all LFC fans as racist; which he was. When he realised we actually wanted a discussion & were not just a few more twitter thugs he could bait he tried to twist it. Called him on it (as did a fellow Asian LFC supporter by the way,) result:block! If true, you might as well leave now Suarez. Also he's pretty anti British tabloids so that'll be a real change of approach for us..... I suppose the upside is he'll put his sensationalist hack skills to use for our benefit for once. Of course if he's that sensitive as a Journo how the hell will he manage the crap thrown our way.
Should make Kenny DOC. And tell ALL English press except the Echo, Post, BBC and ITN. ESPECIALLY ban SkySports, the Mail, Mirror and, of course, the S*n. Bet that corpulent pork-dodger Martin Samuel is revelling in all this. And that drunken sot James Lawton too. At least put two fingers up to the scumbags, FSG, and show them a little gumption rather than letting them continuously set the agenda and call the shots. SHOW SOME BACKBONE!
I don't think the story on Jen Chang is true, The Anfield Wrap lot have been trolling all day. Neil Harrington (TAW) was pretending to be CEO and getting people to apply for jobs earlier.
LFC new communications director, I suspect he may have a say on other appointments at the club too, this guy REALLY know his football. Seems to have links with pretty much all of the football world, excellent appointment who TBH would make a good DoF too
If we had a decent DOC at the time may be we could have stopped Kenny turning the whole world against us. Yes some of us do enjoy that "circling the wagon small village mentality " but in the real world a good DOC could have prevented all the sh*t that rained upon us and that must have made a negative impression of Kenny with FSG.
Oh I agree totally with you. Someone to play the game properly. But taking a job with a club who's fans you looked down on deliberately ignoring a challenge to his "superior football opinion" doesn't bode well for two way communication. If I can offend him & I'm not THAT nasty what the hells he going to do with the more lively among our support? Oh & as badly as Kenny handled it stop repainting history, Kenny was left hanging by these glorious owners. You've got what you wanted Carl, no need to dance on the Mans grave. He's forgotten more about Liverpool FC than you've played on Xbox Show a little class.
I'm sure you mean me, amongst others, in that description. Let me tell you, Kenny had his cards marked after Hillsborough by certain papers and specific journalists for having the temerity of being RIGHT in not condemning our fans in the immeadiate aftermath of the disaster, depite these papers (and same journalists) hurling as much pressure as possible. A confrontation over something was inevitable. We needed strong owners at the time and they folded. I'll never forgive them unless they ban all English gutter press from the club (and Skysports too).
Frank I am not dancing on the man's grave. I just said as I saw it. Most fans recognise that we handled the Suarez episode badly and I did say although Kenny took all the wrong actions he didn't the support of someone who deals with these things. He is a football man and should not have been lumbered with this sort of sh*t. The problem with last season was that Kenny was given too much responsibility and too much influence. Even when he was going wrong no one even the CEO dared not challenge him. The owners only intervene when it was getting desperate . It is clear that FSG recognise that And that is why we have this appointment. I am NOT repainting history. The Suarez episode put me and some of my mates through the wringer. It has made a deep and lasting impression.
And I think our ideas of a Strong Dof & DOC are different. Yours; like this guy Chang would have swiftly without question kissed the arse of the FA & Media & hung Suarez out to dry. Just to keep everything sweet. A really strong team; would have told all to keep their mouths shut, including Kenny & said, let them prove this. We'd have had the same result with Fergie, the media, & possibly the FA hounding us the only difference would have been no "evidence" no ban. What you're criticising KD for is honesty & loyalty; but as I said a real DOC & DOF would have protected KD from areas he has no expertise in I.e protected him from himself. This guy? He appears to be the darling of all the other journalists which in my language makes him a bast*rd among bast*rds. But as I said: as long as he uses the evil spells for us not against us I'll stomach it.
Sure. I would have Rafa back. But it seems tht Martinez is flavour of the month. I like the football he plays to b honest. He has made good use of his resources without the need to play a basic system like fat Sam has done. Whether he has the ability and ruthlessness to deal with top players ( most are egotistical selfish millionaires!) remains to be seen.
Well the new rumours are that in addition to Martinez, Rafa & AVB have been approached. To be honest? I think these three are what is available for our current(& I mean current) level. I just don't know. Is Clarke a people person because Rafa, as good a tactician as he is, I fear will not work on his own with this set of players having no confidence. AVB; I honestly didn't see enough to judge, especially since the clan within Chelsea have to die before a manager can go in & change how they play. Ive talked about M on his own thread. I'll back whoever it is. Hope the improvement continues & hope we make strides in next years league.
Whilst i respect your opinion i would encourage other fans not just to take this as gospel. You seem to be strongly opposed to Jen Chang, but from any interactions i've ever had he comes across as having an affection for Liverpool and seems generally a nice guy.
No idea who this person is.Assuming by what's said hes not the most liked chap in the footballing world though.
Find it strange that this idea is around. Dirty Frank is one of few (apart from some opposition fans) who seem to dislike the guy. Search his name on twitter, plenty of positivity from old colleagues, employers and fans. Gave oxygen to our side of things during the Suarez issue. Generally a well-liked guy.
