At the moment, the Mousers are ripping one another apart over the sacking (in disgrace) of the King, with many a Mouser determined, I am sure, that who ever is appointed next will end up sharing the same fate as Gentleman Roy. Let's face it, whoever comes in - and it's going to be more along the lines of Matinez or Lambert, than a Guardiola or The Special One - is going to have the Mousers against him, just as they were against poor old Roy. What we are talking about is pure chance that the new guy will do any better than the "King" and the chances are they'll do no better (but certainly no worse). Of course, the Mousers will never give the new bloke a chance, so his chances are not looking good. If, by some miracle, the new bloke (even with the Mousers on his back) manages to do what Harry did for us and get us top 4, what's the betting that the Mousers will be hailing him as the New Saviour?
The length of time it takes them to stop whinging that Kenny was sacked + the amount of time it takes to find a new manager x the gap in reality between the manager their fans want compared to the one they will get - the length of time it takes for them to turn on the appointment when it doesn't meet their expectations + the length of time it takes for the first negative result to see criticism of the new manager - the length of time one of the Anfield Old Boys Network that clutter punditry panels to say they need to give the new manager time to settle in. So it'll take until July 2017.
but we didn't laugh at you for all your shower of ****e seasons for god knows how many decades, where has this pretend rivalry come from?
You're not included in the rival thread, because you aren't one - which is why we need to create threads to laugh at you lot.
Don't confuse ridicule with rivalry fella. Right Now, Stoke Fulham and the like are YOUR rivals. And by the looks of your management wishlist that is not going to change anytime soon.
NUFC, Chelski n the Goons are our Rivals at the minute. We're probably third in terms of our aims and financial muscle. Untill Liverpool stop playing such dull, defensive uninspiring football, and buying over priced average players, you will stay at Everton/Fulham/Stokes level. £20m Downing = 0goals 0 assists £20m Henderson £35m Carrol (could come good) £20m Suarez (Had an ok season) £16m (?) Adam total £111m Spurs £1m Lennon £8m VDV £16m Modric £0 Friedel £0 Saha £0 Nelson £5m Bale Total £30m see where you are going wrong?
I've got to say that I believe the Mousers have been extremely prudent with their appointment (yet to be announced) of Martinez as the new 'Pool manager, since he is a man used to scraping bravely in a relegation battle. The Yanks have clearly seen that, with the lack of talent in the 'Pool squad, and the improvement in such teams as Norwich and Swansea, 'Pool could be in serious threat of relegation next season, and that it's better to have a manager such as Martinez in charge, rather than some "big time Charlie" manager, such as Guardiola. So, well done LFC! For, as deluded as your fans may be, your Yank owner has his head screwed on.
Dull and defensive? seriously? Our buys are ****, granted, but we've played some fantastic flowing footie this season, one of the main reasons we wanted Kenny to stay. Just didn't help that we hit the post 31 times
