Sorry if this was posted already:

SunSport can reveal that Barton, charged by the FA with two acts of violent conduct, also had a bust-up with veteran midfielder Shaun Derry during half-time of the defeat at West Brom last month.

The pair had to be dragged apart. An insider said: “Barton lost it completely with Shaun. Shaun can look after himself and the whole thing was getting out of control.”

Derry should have twated him one and put the idiot in his place! To be honest this thing happens all the time and is probably being blown out of proportion.

'Read all about it, footballers arguing in dressing room'

I doubt there's a team at any level that this doesn't happen at every now and again.

They all deserved a good kick up the transom for that performance
That result put us under so much unnecessary pressure which carried on until the final day

I wonder how they got hold of that.

It was mentioned in one post on a thread here a few days ago. Haven't seen it anywhere else. Don't even know if it is true.

If The Sun:emoticon-0172-mooni want to write things on the strength of a single post on here then ...

I have been seeing Kylie Minogue for the last 12 months and she is the father of my love child. (Print that if you dare!)

My take on what was almost certainly thr 'truth' behind this 'story' (if it actually happened:

Barton was playing ****e, passing to the opposition, not tracking back, not creating anything, basically not trying in a game that we all looked upon as a 'must win' at the time.

In the dressing room, he started all the "come on, lads, we need to pull our socks up" crap, at which point Shaun Derry probably uttered a sotto voce "starts with you, you little gob****e" or words to that effect.

Barton reacts as we know he does, and backs off when it becomes apparent that not only won't Derry back down, he's more than capale and willing to put Barton out of the game.

For my money, if there's any truth in this story, then that's how it happened.

It wouldnt surprise me if Barton was having a go at Taarabt while Barton was having a mare and Derry told him to sort his own game out 1st.

I think he must be widely hated, especially by last years team seeing him come in with his billy big bollocks attitude and NPC talent.

We can guess but we'll never know. He was out celebrating staying up with them so can't be too bad! Usual dressing room stuff dragged into a story off the back of Sunday?

BRIX (or anyone else), can you explain how Flyer can read the OP if I'm on his Ignore list?

Under each 'hidden' message is a link that allows you to View Post. Flyer may well have you on ignore, but he can choose to see the posts if he wants, and he can certainly see when you post...

That leather mini and stilettos can get bloody uncomfortable after a while. Ask your Brighton buddy and he'll tell ye!

Ive seen him really having a go at Adel for losing the ball while he himself hits a FK 60 yards into touch.

I really dont think they get on with him at all. I know theres no way I could happily play in the same team as him.

Yep saw that too and he was bang out of order. In more recent games though I've seen them laughing joking and slapping hands in mutual acknowledgment. If it was an issue it's resolved sufficiently for them to go out celebrating together.

Its probably more like they were tolerating him rather than liking him for the good of the team. It wouldnt surprise me if they went to the manager and asked him to get rid. Hence the story that we were looking to offload him even before the last game and luckily him giving us the perfect chance to without paying him off.
