He might have ment that but I just think he says things that sound stupid.

The media side of things has changed alort since he was last manager and I don't think he ever quite got to terms with that since coming back

 

I read it as that too. He won something, got you into europe so finishing 8th or 6th was neither here nor there really. No way were you finishing top four last season so in a way he saw it as a result.

I think a lot was to do with his bone headed handling of Suarez and all that came with it. If that hadn't been allowed to happen then I reckon the on pitch side of things would have been deemed acceptable.

Two names bandied about; Benitez and AVB. If you get either of those you are ****ed.

 

That is what has ultimatley ****ed him over in my opinion. Like you said things weren't too bad on the pitch but he didn't handle the whole Suarez thing very well at all.

 

I'd be happy with AVB and I wouldn't be unhappy with Rafa.

Seriously? AVB is a flat out joke of a manager and Benitez, well words fail me. I know you lads like to take wierd backwards steps but it will not work. Didn't with Dalglish, won't with him. In fact it's a similar situation, he's been lurking about in the background like a bad smell just as Dalglish was with Hodgson.

 

I'm not so sure Rafa would be a good idea myself, why do you think AVB would be a bad choice? Before Chelsea he was supposed to be the new Mourinho, his record at Porto was incredible.

He ****ed up at Chelsea and i think he needs to go away and prove himself before taking on a job like Liverpool. Look at the many next big things who have tried and failed over here; him, Ramos, Santini to name a few. If it were my club, i'd be worried to have AVB.

first off for kingeric, no point using half a kenny quote. he stated the league was disappointing. he also stated we'd not swap the carling cos it return the club to winning things... you could objectively read that as he accepts the sack cos one big thing wasn't good enough but he'd not take a 5th and keeping his job without a trophy... that sort of thing... falling on the proverbial sword.

s for managers, do you mancs seriously think a savvy crowd like fsg will appoint a good manager? I reckon snoogy doogy is a dead cert at this point. should be fun times.

I'm hoping parker's achilles blows up on him and Henderson does go to the euros just t prove how bloody woeful english players are.
