Which are you? First we have to define each category. Supporter- Goes to games where possible. Buys kit and PPV and merchandise Fan - Rarely goes to games or buys kit and streams footy for free and buys almost no merchandise Glory Hunter - Buys nothing but 1 jersey a year for the pub streams for free and has no interest when the team is not doing well. For those who want to post lies, please don't bother, it will be obvious from your posts on this board if you are a lying cnut or not!! What is Your yearly spend on Your club and which category do You fit into?
I go to games when I can ( last season ) but am getting my season ticket for this coming season when the wedding is done (2 weeks). I haven't bought a shirt for years but I always buy my boys United shirts but I refuse to buy my step daughter Liverpool shirts
I'm inbetween your definition of Fan and Supporter I can't afford to go to matches very often but I always go once or twice a year with my boy, I spend a lot on merchandise for my kids. This thread may offend a few people, I think we all try to Support our club as best we can. You gonna get some **** from some BBf.
I love when people get all opinionated & judgemental with little approval tick lists they use the term "we" rather than "I". Shows a lack of confidence in how you believe your "definitions" will be received by others.
At least we only have 3 levels, Chelski for instance have a couple more; plastic, flag waver, mother to your brother, clueless and under 10's to name a few......
I'm a fan, its not rally viable however for me to go to Liverpool and Anfield as no friends or family support liverpool and im 17 so don't have the cash to go up by train let alone buy tickets. I've been to Anfield a couple of times and buy merchandise frequently- the kits mainly but also had a poster a couple of years back. MAYBE i'm a supporter? I certainly will be when i get a job and my own car-
Fans and supporters are different, I am between fan and glory hunter Going to games where possibly and buying into LFC is being a supporter, it is supporting the club, lets be clear on that, not buying anything means you are not supporting the club, check definition of support in the ox. Fans and supporters are slightly different, noone is saying either are good or bad, thats yer own interpretation, a slightly different one from what is being asked. Fans like something supporters support something, glory hunters like good times.. how anyone can be offended is beyong me especially when it is not mandatory to post on this thread, nay read it. C'mon guys, its a bit of craic Noone has to make excuses for themselves, fk that guys I buy 1 kit a year for my son because I have to, I don't agree 1% about the wages these days
Bloody hell. If we've got any " glory-hunters" on here they've been barking up the wrong tree for quite a while now. Wouldn't want 'em hunting for my dinner.
You see I grew up with football being free on TV, players accessable and lots of trophies, so you see my predicament
Apologies! Over sensitive Well I no longer buy the shirts since Ive been told I scud the team if I wear one. I can't afford to get to anywhere near as many games over the years as I would have liked. Always hopeful that will change! I pay for most of my match viewing but I thought that made me less of a fan because it went to the coffers of the Evil Murdoch empire!! So fan/glory hunter. No wait definitely fan as I just replaced my LFC mug in the office! With an official one I'll have you know!
Fan, i just go to games when i can afford... Go at least 4 times a season and i dont wear footie shirts only for 5 a side.
I think it can be said, anyone that buys anything is a supporter really, fans like something supporters buy into the club. Its fairly clear most if not all are supporters on here, the glory hunter buys a jersey at the end of april for watching the finals in the pub, they won't know who's in the finals and winning the prem till then But if they buyu a jersey technically they are a supporter too, just that this year they gotta buy a chelsea and a city kit
- I can't go to games, I live in Northern Ireland and can't commute. - I don't have the money to spend ridiculous amounts on shirts that are old after a year. Or indeed the other ridiculously expensive merch. I have a Liverpool mirror that my late Grandfather gave me, looks like it's older than I am. - I am however probably the most passionate, dedicated and knowledgeable LFC fan any of my friends or family know.

I'm in a predicament, my spend of LFC is minimal each year. I get to a dozen games a season, but I get the ticket off season ticket holding family. I have also been given tickets in the corporate section (again free) and had the pleasure of viewing a game from one of the boxes (again free). I used to buy a extortionately priced hotdog or pie at halftime but after queuing up only to find they had none left twice in a row I no longer bother, and cannot understand why people go the match only to duck out 5mins before halftime just to get some food / drink / take a slash. I have not bought a shirt for about 10 years. I do not have the ripoff that is sky, I would rather watch the game at the pub (does that count as revenue?) the games I stream online cannot be viewed on Sky anyway. I had no choice who to support, I was born a red just like all my family but I have to confess, I am a gloryhunter
