The Mirror are laughably inaccurate when it comes to transfer gossip, as are The Sun. I'm not going to read too much into these articles - pure speculation
There is nothing in those 2 articles apart from speculation. Yet again newspapers basing their stories on fan forums and fear of RVP leaving. I wish there was some kind of organisation that monitored the bullsh1t they produce and get fined HEAVILY!
I think Robin lost it and shouted at Wenger yesterday. How long will it be before Cross reports this nonsense as 'my informants tell me'.
What would be more disturbing is if he reported on what Arsenal87 said about RVP, Wenger and Gatz having an orgy....
I think no news is bad news in this case. The longer it lasts the more chances there are that RVP is just waiting for other offers. Strangely enough there is no serious open interest from any party - not a single quote from any big club, a bit disappointing for Robin I would think. But there will be hundreds of agents in Poland and Ukraine. What I do not like is the way Robin keeps saying about his 8 years with Arsenal. It is like "I have been with you for 8 years, it is time to move".
Totally disagree with you here. God knows where people get, "no news is good news" from. If we don't learn from last years debacle then we really deserve what we get, another bad start to the season. We simply can't afford to let things drift along when all the other teams are busy strengthening. Even SAF was in Germany looking over Kagawa and having a few nice words with him! This is the difference between SAF and Wenger. Wenger is happy with scraping 3rd place with a huge points difference with the top. Whilst SAF is pissed that he just missed out on the Premiersip and is chasing targets. Wenger should be out there running around and getting deals done!
his agent will need to discuss what he thinks RVP can get from others, before any decision either way. Could take days.....
Sorry, my brain read it as "no news is good news"... Why can't Wenger show more urgency, especially having a poor season and winning nothing for a straight 7 years? It's so frustrating sometimes the way we amble along with our deals. Our business deals of recent have made the majority of us cynical. Even the signing of Podolski could be a sign of strengthening, or it could be a replacement to RVP....
Man Citeh have already expressed interest and would pay RVP £250k/week but only want to pay a £20-25 Mill fee. Real Madrid have also expressed interest. We will be very lucky if he stays, a 30 goal a year striker is gold dust.
Am i the only one here that thinks RVP leaving after playing 1 full season is harsh? I can't ever remember him playing anything close to a whole season and he's been with us for 8 years! Life can be a bitch sometimes and this would certainly be a case of that if he left....
Agree The club took him on when he was a petulant little **** on a road to ruin and molded him into a world class striker. We stuck by him through all of his injury ravaged seasons, paid his wages and gave him the chance to shine. Personally, I think he owes the club a bit. Whether that will inform his decision, time will tell.
He is waiting to see the extent of our ambitions in the transfer market. This may drag on till after the Euros.
