    Some changes coming.

    • There won't be a DOF
    • John Achterberg will be replaced by Valero as GK coach.
    • New Director of Sports Science to be appointed.

They may be more but this is what I've been told is already in place.

Surprised about DoF as I thought the owners were dead set on getting someone in to help them as they don't know the football industry all that well.

Good to see Valero back - hopefully he can get Reina back to his best.

    who told you luv?

would you call it whats been said round the corridors or merely whats been rumours outside the ground?

I believe clarke resigned. Now of course the foundation of any rumour would be the fact he sat with the big boys at fenway park for all the world to see but thats that side of it, the other side is the story he has resigned.

I am going to judge this objectively o nthe actual appointments made. FSG have not hired anyone in for MD so no DoF would keep with that as would promoting form within in sports science. You can judge this two ways. one is them doing it on the cheap and the other is a matter of philosophy for them. The effectiveness of their appointments is what we should judge them on.

I'm afraid it's a dodgy source. (very dodgy) Seriously though it's someone who has direct knowledge of one of the appointments and so has been made aware of others.

We don't need a DOF, what's the point, really? other than a few million extra spend on wages

That is kind of what I heard, that the owner just don't feel the need for that position.

as in someone who knows a keeper at the club and can say the very specific keeper coach appointment. You could take it as read on that one but then the others could still be hearsay or opinion?

    that kind of thing?

Kind of like that, but it wasn't the keeper appointment that the person directly knew about.
