The celebrations of the Sunderland fans clearly left a bitter taste, which Fergie believes will inspire his players to greater glory. "When we lost the league to Leeds in 1992, the young players - Neville, Scholes, Giggs - came out that day and the Liverpool supporters were asking for their autographs. "Then they (the supporters) were tearing the autographs up - I told the players to remember that. "Yesterday I said those Sunderland fans who were cheering for City, remember the day. We won't forget that. I am telling you." What exactly were Sunderland fans doing? No worse than abit of banter surely
**** SAF... We've helped them enough this season, with the tally of points we took of City.... Look at your own failures ya whiskey nosed git.instead of bitching, does he think Sunderland is a suburb of Manchester or something.
The crowd were very much split as to who they wanted to win the title, and a good number did cheer when it came through that City had won the title..I'm sure there would have also been a good deal of Sunderland fans who would have stopped back and applauded Man United had they won the title...
No need to take much notice of Fergie. It's the sort of thing you'd expect him to say - "Feel the pain of losing and remember what it's like - don't let it happen again" sort of thing. IMHO he's about finished and I'd be surprised if he lasted longer than another season as Manure manager. He is though one of the most ungracious losers there is - but that probably comes from being a winner tbf !
Also the United fans were giving it large as they were well on top, but they can't handle it when it goes against them. They should try supporting Sunderland!
Well he was just about gracious to City for winning the league so he had to take it out on someone. The bitter bitter man.
Oh God, we've upset SAF, he'll have a word with the FA & we'll have a load of dodgy decisions by refs made against us
He's been helpful to us with loans and telling Roy Keane we were a 'big' club and a good job to manage. But we've helped Evans and Welbeck develop and paid good money for players he wanted to move on, so it's not been one-way traffic by any means. Seems he can't take a joke when he's not got a trophy at the end of the season. Quite frankly, he can **** off. We've only had one major trophy since the war!
Cant please everyone, fans banter is just that, banter. expect he will get over it, if not well tough ****.
Like all closeted deities, he is too used to having his hairy Scottish arse kissed by all and sundry that he can’t handle the actual banter of rival fans. If it were City we played and they had lost the title on Sunday at the SOL, then we'd have given them some ****e too. Get over yourself Ferguson and grow up you self-opinionated old wino.
Looks like the Manc mob out of film green streets....waiting for the West Ham boys to get of the train.....
