So please, I can see your argument, and do feel you are perhaps a bit of a "worrier". But please do not brand things with a sweeping statement as if you are speaking for us all.

I branded you a worrier as if every time you see the flag, you think of a small minority of idiots it is a shame. However, go to any other country and you are likely to find their own version of similar people. No offence intended, not trying to wind you up - just posting my view!
Yeah, I noticed! Good essay. The first quote in it, is the much misunderstood Dr Johnson one. Misapplied again! Einstein.... was this before or after he renounced pacifism? After his visit to Palestine he was moved to say "Today, I have been made happy by the sight of the Jewish people learning to recognize themselves and to make themselves recognized as a force in the world." Sounds a bit nationalistic to me. In what became Israel, of all places. Hey ho! We're never going to agree on this one. I accept that you feel this way but please don't presume that the flag has been spoiled for the "rest of us".
