again this season the famous star's has been selected then the player's who's on form.

Micheal Carrick has been the only English Midfielder who has been consistent this season and has been the best english midfielder this season. im gutted he hasn't been given a chance he deserves. He should just retire from international, he's been on great form, he's been english's best consistent player this season and he still being over looked, his treatment from England is really bad.

As much as i hate Richards, he has been better in defense then Johnson this season, Johnson's attacking is good but defending is really poor.

Steven Downing? i don't even need to comment on this as everybody knows, if he can get in the squad then why can't Carrick get in? How can player's like Downing get in but Carrick can't?

Carroll ahead of Crouch raises eyebrows too, Crouch done much better then Carroll this season for a struggling Stoke.

    Terrible

    no, Carrick's not good enough.

If we'd had more coming from midfield, we would have won the title. As the midfielder who played the most, he has to accept the lion's share of the blame. Fergie must have laid into him a few times, yet he never raised his game.

He doesnt have it in his game, he is incredibly limited. granted he is very good at what he does, however that is not good enough for the top tier of football

No-one is suggesting Michael Carrick is a world beater, just that he is an effective Player who has a proven track record of success, and that, given the lack of English Players who can actually pass a ball to their Team-mate (from the centre mid), then perhaps it is a poor decision to omit him.

I do not think he is the way forward, time to drop the dead weight, start fresh and lose instead of starting stale and losing

I agree with you and i disagree with other's Micheal Carrick was never known for goal scoring or being an attacking midfielder, he is known for being defending midfielder, passing the ball, his passing this season was great, he can defend, he can do great passes this season i have been impressed with his passing, he did alot of Scholes type of passing this season, that is what England needs, who can pick up the ball from defense and ping the ball up to the wing and start attacks. he can also defend much better then any english midfielder at the moment.

im gutted he's not selected, his treatment is bad, when he is on a bad form, he does not get selected but when he gets his best form back, he still doesn't get selected, for me is is much better and more consistent then Barry this season and still that overrated person gets selected. Like i said England still don't learn their lesson, again big names are selected rather then player's whos on form.
    England need to change that.

Personally I think Barry is better and city will look to strengthen this year by getting him on the bench, we need to keep up, to many years we have gone without a top class midfielder

It seems to me that Carrick is under orders not to venture forward or do much. Remember when he ventured forward and scored against QPR he joked he'd be getting fined for leaving his position. It's all down to how SAF has set the team to play. Carrick is there to shield the back four and feed ball to wingers (famous side passes).

    Nothing more.
