First, we had the Liverbirds, which was as tragic as it was comic. More so, in fact. Then, we had Bread - a docu-comedy about a thieving Scouse family, racking it on the dole and basically taking the piss out us Londoners. This was swiftly followed by Yosser "gis a job" Hughes, who blamed good, honest, upright Tories for his own failings. And it has culminated in the fall in disgrace of LFC, from a world-respected English football club to something that is now associated with the White Knights of America (aka the Klu Klux Klan), with even their stadium being re-named "Klanfield" under the FA's naming rights rules. Am I the only one in thinking that the Scouser is probably forever going to be one of England's tragic-comedy figures? Yeah, we may laugh at him, but when you look at him he also makes you want to cry.
I don't think that I could put that better HIAG,mid table nowhere coming up. In my Liverpool home tra la la. I think we may now have to look at Everton as Merseyside's top club.
You forgot the pathetic "Scouse, not English" campaign. Must have been out robbing Woolworths when they should have been in geography...
They're still bitter about the Manchester Ship Canal...known in those parts as the Mersey By-pass!...been out of work ever since! The Hillsborough families have gone beserk over the new kit, the two flames either side of the shield (a commerative symbol of H'boro) in the crest have been moved to the back of the shirt...with the name and number, quite respectful you'd think, oh no...just what else can they moan about! The front is now the 70's/80's style with the anorexic ostrich or whatever it is. Flames around that and it would look like barbecuing a chicken....with that American deep south blend of herbs n spices! Rather a nice transcontinental touch from Mr.Henry I thought.
There is one thing to be considered about the criticism of the new kit - as it says "96" between the shoulders, there is the possibility that somebody would consider stooping so low (like that Man Utd supporting twatstick did a couple of years back) as to have "Not Enough" printed below it. Although you'd think that Sports Direct might have learned after the ****storm that hit them in the wake of that incident. Although, as I keep saying, other clubs who have experienced tragedies - such as Rangers, Juventus, Bradford City, Spartak Moscow - haven't made those tragedies a central part of supporting their club as Liverpool have done, which is what makes no sense to me.
I hope he's a very brave dog handler. Its no worse than a bit of Frankie Boyle....shall I edit a content warning to cover my arse?
Thought the fuss was ridiculous myself, as did most of us. They were also annoyed because they hadn't all been consulted, not because of the kit design. Again, is HIAG a Spurs supporter, or a Liverpool supporter in denial? Will you be supporting the England captain HIAG?
Nope. He shouldn't even be going to the Euros, let alone leading the team. What has he done to deserve it?
Pep Guardiola has been linked to the Liverpool job.....well he did say he wanted a break from football! During the meeting with the owners, Dalglish was told, 'put yourself in the fans shoes'....which is why he is now unemployed!
now all he need's to do to be in thier shoes is visit the job center then nick some car wheel's on the way home
He's been a successful captain for years, was head and shoulders above every other England player in SA, has played well (when fit) this season, always performs on the big stage, huge international experience, world class vision/distribution/workrate... Anything else?
