I think it was probably AP who sorted the chance for him to go there, Bullard just accepted, just as AP had sorted him a move to Celtic which he rejected.
Probably so. I'm not going to applaud him for doing the job he was very well paid to do. However, given that we were still paying the majority of his (JB's) wages there were probably lots of people interested at a lower level. Ie Celtic as you point out.
But that's sort of my point, he was well paid to do it, and he was doing it pretty well from what we know. He turned Celtic down because they would only pay him 40k p/w, with the chance of winning titles and playing European football, I'm not sure what else AP could have done last summer to shift him.
